Live DVD being shot at Shoreline tonight?

Frank Martinez over at the Official Journey Forum says that's the case and Journey is playing an extra 20 minutes because of it. He says it will be released in 2009. Maybe Frank can come over here with some more details...I'm guessing that if that's happening, it will be packaged with the new album.

Anyway, we'll find out for sure tonight.

Let's hope this one actually sees the light of retail shelves unlike the Arrival pro-shot footage, Warfield, and Dallas 05.

Be on the lookout for way more cameras than just the ones used to put shots up on the screens behind the stage. There would be one swinging over the crowd for sure, which would be the biggest tipoff they're filming for a DVD. Also, there would probably be signs posted upon entering that the performance is being filmed for a DVD.

Have fun! Report back here with all the details.

OK we need a setlist and what I'm most interested in is if they are filiming Heart/CheapTrick as well.

I'd love to see the entire concert from all 3 bands. Now there's a seller :D

I'd heard that was originally the plan. In fact that's one of the reasons I was trying desperately to get over for that show as Neal asked me to photograph it too. However, I thought they had now shelved the idea with view to doing it at a show possibly in Manilla.

It would be cool if they did at Shoreline though.

This could explain the differences we've seen in the set list recently ... maybe they've been trying out songs they want on this DVD so it will be different from the Vegas one.

Deen sang Keep on Running last night ...

I hope this is true ... maybe I'll manage to get in this one.

If Frank says it's happening, it's happening. Every band should be blessed enough to have a Frank Martinez. I've never met a more gentle, classy soul in my life. Rock Shoreline, Frank!!! 8) I expect a call. :)

No dvd shoot. No boom cameras over the crowd and the set list was exactly the same as sacramento. no 20 minute extension of music. Actually the only difference was that Neal's solo was the SSB and in sacramento it was just a standard solo.

Security were absolute Nazi's about cameras/cell phone cameras though. i've never had that experience at a venue before. major league attitude.

Arnel was just incredible - pure and powerful delivery

Regardless of last night's filming status, I'd love to see that set make it to DVD. Neal's SSB gives me chills, When You love A Woman would be great, and they are playing great Revelation tracks, particularly Change for the Better

Yeah, you probably saw a few cameras in the front that were filming for the video screens behind the stage.

That's my guess as well. You would see the cameras on booms if they were filming for a DVD...it's usually quite obvious. A couple more shows and these guys can get some much needed rest.
