OT: NFL Week 4...CRAZY!

Well, that buffoon Phillips keeps proving why I am not sold on the Cowboys, so their fans better stop trying to buy all those Super Bowl tickets! At this point, I'm not sure the Cowboys will finish higher than third in their own division! Denver laid an egg today. The state of Ohio needs to take up basket weaving, because both of their teams suck! The state of Missouri needs to follow Ohio's lead, because both of their teams suck! The NFC East is looking like the division. Jason Campbell looks like he's a very underrated NFL QB, so look out for the Redskins! The Bills keep quietly motoring along, and Brett Favre apparently came out of retirement today

Last but not least, I wasn't subjected to watching the dreadful Patriots today, so there was a silver lining!

The Lions did the best thing they could've ever done in getting rid of Matt Millen!

Hiring that guy has to be one of the biggest dunderheaded moves in the history of the league.

This is the year of the Veteran Quarterback. Who said you are too old to win?
Favre (6 td's- Career High)
Collins (4-0 leader among a young, physical team)
Warner (Bad Game Today..but still threw for 450+)
Griese (Big W against Green bay--Threw 30 passes this week and 67! last week.)
Frerotte (Beat out a young, young QB with the NFL's premier back)
Huard (Sparked KC to dominating win over Denver)
Trent Green (Feel bad for those pathetic Rams)
Delhomme ( CAR off to a 3-1 start..hence a health Delhomme)
--Watching Chi/Philly now. I am AMAZED that a team actually has the coaching knowledge to game plan against the blitz. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Kudos to Chicago.

Good point...I completely overlooked the Titans. I love their defense and their rookie running back, Chris Johnson. Collins is a steady vet, who can get the job done. In my opinion, he is a MUCH better choice than Vince Young! The AFC is wide open this season, for the first time in many, many years. It's a good opportunity for a team like Tennessee to step up and make a name for themselves!

Favre was immense today! Collins is very steady. Warner is an accurate passer but simply doesn't know how to protect the football. Griese sucks...Frerotte is Dreadful, and Huard has no right being a starter!

Man, those last few seasons of Bengals football were just a little bit of false hope. Back to the cellar we go!

Huh???? False hope??? What team were you watching dude??? I'm not sure what you've seen over the last 10 years that gave you any hope! You do realize that in this entire decade (that is just about over) that only ONE single time, the Bengals had an over .500 record?? 2005 was the one and only season the Bengals were worth even discussing! They are an embarrassing franchise, with an awful owner, and a worse coach! The Bumbling Bungals have made headlines more over the past couple of years for their endless arrests than anything they've done on the football field! They have a QB who sucks, and a receiver with a big mouth, who has always been VASTLY overrated! Sorry my friend, but the Bengals are in the same class with teams like the Raiders and Lions!

Johnny my man, most of your post was spot-on.... BUT....
Carson Palmer doesn't suck.
And Ocho Cinco is one of the top ten WRs in the league.

We'll agree to disagree. Palmer has been around long enough to show that he is nothing more than a middle of the road QB. His career record is exactly .500 , and that's simply not good enough in a league where the only thing that matters is winning!
ProgRocker53 wrote:And Ocho Cinco is one of the top ten WRs in the league.
Chad Johnson is a fucking moron! Not only is he not a "top ten WR in the league", he isn't even the best receiver on his own freakin' team! The guy is a big mouth blowhard, who spends more time running his piehole, and changing his idiotic name, than he ever spends on becoming a better football player!

If the Bengals would've had better defenses in the past few years, their win-loss record would be significantly better.. statistically Palmer has been a juggernaut... well, until this year at least, haha.
Johnson is a great athlete, is constantly trying to better himself, has fun with the sport and his fame, and adds a bit of flavor to the No Fun League. Running his mouth or not, it's always refreshing to see a personality out there on the field.

Earlier in the day I looked at my Raiders website. 12-0 Raiders.
A moment ago I looked at the same page. 28-18 Chargers. Final.

No shocker there! The Raiders are an abysmal organization, and you had to know that the Chargers would find a way to win that game!

The Raiders will suck until Al Davis heads off to the great beyond...until then that egomaniac with continue running the organization into the ground.

Prog- I have watched this general manager senario since Paul Brown died. They draft with the checkbook. Palmer has been sacked 5-6 times a game and out today injured last week..There is no line to protect, but the defense seems to have improved even with 3 starters out in the secondary injured. You can buy tickets for underface value and if people had any sense they would get rid of their season tickets and personal seat liscences until the NFL takes notice of the fraud put on the fans after we spent $675,000 million to build that stadium . Anyway, they are stuck for the next 26yrs of the lease in Cincinnati. As far as Chad, this year he keeps his mouth shut and no expressions. He said some football player friend pointed out his faults. He is actually quite boring this year. The definition of insanity is to..........yrs of NO results. We need a new Owner, President and chief operating officer and general manager. Those positions are all our dear owner Mike Brown. Can we trade for Al Davis?

Not saying I'm shocked in the least. As RVR mentioned, seeing as how Al Davis (also known as the reverend from "Poltergeist") is pretty much a partially re-animated corpse at this point, its no surprise we can't do anything. I just had a glimmer of hope for a moment, thats all. I know better now.

the titans have been my favorite team since they first arrived in 1999.steve mcnair was a warrior who played hurt a lot of sundays now last couple years we got cry baby ass vince young at QB.the best thing can do is keep collins in there because young can't play and i'd cut him or trade him but he has to go because he is a headcase and a quitter.as long as the defense plays great and collins doesn't make too many mistakes we will be ok.the test will be the playoffs when you get the colts, chargers, jaguars, steelers comin atcha and even though all those teams are struggling right now they will be there come playoff time.

Yup, I gotta agree. I've thought they were highly overrated for the last few years. They're one of those franchaises that, for some reason, the media wants to be good, but they just aren't! It's "The Bungles" all over again.
Too bad for Carson, but I think he's out of there as soon as his contract is up.
Props Travis!!!
