Anyone from Atlanta?

Postby Vocalsmanvocals » Thu Oct 09, 2008 3:37 am

My wife and I are flying into Atlanta for the weekend (for the Bears/Falcons game Sunday) and might like to hit a bar/club with some good live 80s 90s music on Saturday night.

Besides Andrews Upstairs, does anyone from the area know any good bars/clubs with 80s 90s live music in the area?

Not from Atlanta but go there a bunch. heres one thats pretty cool-Hole in the Wall in Buckhead, Peachtree rd-all 70's and 80's, I think some 90's too. Always good crowds and the right kind of crowds, not troublemakers...

We went to the Bears / Falcons game in Atlanta! Delta airlines in Atlanta is no joke lol Tons of gates in the Atlanta airport.

Wow, the game was awesome!!! Even though my Bears lost with 1 sec left on the clock after going ahead just 10 seconds earlier, it was exciting! The Georgia Doma is soo loud...every time on 3rd down when the Bears had the ball, the crowd was going crazy.

When Jason Elam of the Falcons shanked the kick towards the end, the Bears fans in attendance went nuts! I went nuts...We were hearing it from the Falcons fans "Thanks for coming, now there is the door"......so of course us and the Bears fans around us were giving it right back.."There is the door"..

Tons of Falcons fans started to leave and boy would they regret it for their team. The unthinkable then happened....

Matt Ryan threw a great pass the very last pass play which set up the go ahead kick Jason Elam. Elam made this one redeeming himself and gave the Falcons the win...Man was I bummed....

The noise in the Dome was deafening!

It was only the 3rd time since the NFL merger a team has come back to win a game with less than 11 seconds left after the other team had taken the lead.

All in all, a wonderful weekend trip!!
