Postby madsplash » Mon Oct 13, 2008 7:59 am

If you had to guess, just how rich do you think SP is? Of course, none of us know for sure, but he's known to have really invested wisely with the millions he's made. We always here about how much money he has, what do you think?

Discuss.

Easily 50 to 100 million because of his wise investment in California property. Well, that and he probably still has his communion money.

They say that established artists make 1-2 dollars per album(disc) sold, if they have songwriting royalties. Journey's worldwide sales should be almost 80 million counting Revelation(which SP gets paid for too  )

Hmm......

I believe Journey has sold around 60 million albums. Steve has also done the remasters and other projects. Not to mention property in San Francisco he may or may not have liquidated. Easily 100 million plus.

I'd say 25-50.

Hope it's more. He deserves it all. I love the man.

I, think 100 mil + if he is really as tight with money as HH implied and as wise in business matters as others have stated. Probably, the reason he never married; why buy the cow when he can rent the milk. I doubt seriously if any woman or man will pluck Perry's pockets. Yes easily a 100 mil or more.

As for all you peeps that comment on "old man sexcapades"..well, he looks good to me, likes cats, ( me too) so I wouldn't mind hanging my cane on his headboard for a weekend or two. I still think he has it going on....
With all his money aside, I wish him happiness ( for all he gave to us with his beautiful voice) love of family and friends, and good health. :D

Meh. Can't say I've ever given a damn how much money someone has; if you've got the money to pay your bills on time, buy a few luxuries without thinking about it too much, be generous to the people you love and still have something left over at the end of the week, then you are wealthy.

The man has talent, has made some music that has moved me to the depths of my soul, made some mistakes I wish he hadn't made, or I wish he could repair, and looks damn good for his age (I keep saying it but it's true - he should be the pin-up for the quit smoking campaign! A lifetime of not smoking, decent diet and keeping fit do wonders!). I've got the voice recorded forever, and if there's some nice eye candy to go with it, well, that's a bonus. If the eye candy can still look good at almost-60, even better. So who gives a shit about the rest?
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

They're both correct and acceptable.

Vocal cords, a term commonly used to refer to the vocal folds, is also spelled 'vocal chords', possibly due to the musical connotations or to confusion with the geometrical definition of the word "chord". While both spellings are historically correct, standard American spelling is 'vocal cords'. According to the Oxford English corpus, contemporary writers opt for vocal chords instead of vocal cords 49% of the time. The 'vocal chords' variant has long been accepted in the United Kingdom (along with other anatomical uses like 'spinal chord'). Even in the United States, both variants can be found from early on, and it was only later on that American writers settled on 'vocal cords' as the standard version.
