Cats and Steve Perry--Really??

Postby Purrkat » Tue Oct 14, 2008 4:35 am

Ok, so where did the story originate that claims SP is a real cat lover?

This is one mystery I never did figure out.......... 8) Anyone care to comment?

No, I don't want to hear he really is a kitten puncher behind closed doors either.

I've never understood these people and their fucking cats. Trapping an animal inside your house isn't really being an "animal lover." No wonder they piss everywhere...I would too!!! And how vile is it to walk into someone's house and see a box where a cat shits? Normally in the kitchen!!! Same with birds. Like that little motherfucker wants to be in a cage all day. And these jagoffs, like my neighbor, who never walk their dogs. Dogs should be banned from big cities. They want to run around, preferably on at least a half acre!!! Not let out in the back yard twice a day to shit and then come back inside. And I marvel at these chumps at the park that walk around scooping up their dog's shit. I'd either let him shit on my property or teach him how to clean it up himself. We had a neighborhood cat problem in our alleys. I'd tell you how my neighbor got rid of them but he'd have PETA banging on his fucking door.

Good for your neighbor taking care of the cat problem.

I'd rather have the dog in the house instead of him being outside ALL f-ckin' day like my neighbor does. The barking gets old real f'n fast.

'Owning' pets is slavery. Plain and simple. I always imagined what it would be like if some higher intelligence came to earth and took us away to their planet, and made us their 'pets'. Or a 'Human Zoo' like that Twilight Zone episode.

Slave owners make me ill.....

What I Can't stand are the people here in Los Angeles that have these big huskies and other coldweather dogs couped up in condo's. When they do take it out they like to run around the park with it in 90 degree heat trying to kill the damn animal. Bulldogs and Huskies don't belong in SoCal, it's too fucking hot.

Agreed. There's an asshole that has a husky and he brings it to the park where I jog. It's 90-fucking-8 outside and the moron is asking the dog in baby talk "Are you thirsty???" I'm thinking "Yeah he's thirsty, asshole, and if he was smart he'd rip your balls out of your sack and make a bee line toward Canada."

Also, I rarely see this fuckstain in the winter. Probably because it's too cold for him!!!

He was pictured with a cat, like once. That's about all it takes.

No one said he was a cat lover... they just rip on that picture saying he's too busy petting cats to record music.

It doesn't take much with Perry... no matter what kind of picture he takes, the haters make fun of it and the loons fill in the blanks and assume it means something it doesn't.

I make it at least twice...

Check out the crazed look in Stevie's eyes!

Image

And the picture that likely started the madness...

Image

Please note: not the same cat as the earlier pic. That one was probably punched into orbit!

Purrkat:

Steve was interviewed somewhere (and I'm sorry, I don't have the reference) where he said he wasn't a cat lover as a
younger man but Sherry had two cats and he found them endearing and learned to love them during his relationship with her. I believe the pictures of Steve holding a Siamese is with one of Sherry's cats.

Oh please

You think this is bad you should see the mocked up movie posters featuring Perry! 'The Hoarse Whisperer' and 'The Pelican Brief' were amongst my favourites.

Come to think of it what is it with Perry and animals...?

There's been a few jokes lately about him punching cats into orbit.
I don't get the joke.

I knew the jokes about him being a cat lover came from those two photos which get posted occasionally, but I can't work out where the punching of cats etc comes in.
So I was wondering.

Once upon a time people were pissing about how Steve Perry doesn't do this, and does that, and hated stuff, most of it in jest. The "he punched a kitten" joke came as a tounge-in-cheek sidestab to those silly comments on how everything bad is Perry's fault. Best I can recall anyway.

It has nothing to do with accusing the man himself of animal abuse... are we clear? Please don't take every joke so literal, ya'll.

Oh...that. It's said in jest to mock how almost everything related toward him tends to get skewed and puts him in a bad light. I think it was BJG that started it and it wasn't meant as anything negative toward Perry. For instance, if Perry was seen taking his cat to the vet (if he even has one) people would start rumors that he got pissed and put his cat in the microwave...or some shit like that. She was just being a farcicle smartass toward those that are constantly negative toward the guy. Can't imagine who they are.
