Now, we all know things are tough out there for a lot of folks (I thought what Journey did this year with selling higher priced seats but discounting the lawn was definately the right move). It's probably going to worse next summer.
Who do you think Journey should realistically hook up with for 2009?
Strange, I would post a Journey topic.

They should hook up with anyone they want to. To me it's still too early to be concern about touring in 2009.

That aside, they're really gonna have to jazz up the setlist with different material this time or they won't be getting my money.

Sorry RobbieG, but I think tours need to be put together now if you want the dates and the venues.
MT - I love Sammy and it would definately work, but would it get the casuals to a concert in these tough times?

Does everyone bring up Pat Benatar because of how well Heart worked with this tour?

RockandRoll, Tours for the following year (Summer start) start booking venues in January of that year not now unless it's a early spring tour. This according to live nation.

Absolutely not an arguement, but plans have to definately be formulated prior to January. I would think there is a little negotiating prior to booking a tour.

Just wondering why concerned about 2009 tour? My man this is not the JFFYI Pat Benatar was the open act during portions of the departure tour in 1980.

Let's see..... 2009 is bsically 2 months away. So I guess Journey should just go out there and say "Hey anybody out there who doesn't have prior committments want to tour with us" Than they can worry about booking the venues and the dates. I've sorta understood that's it's always the guys who can guarantee the biggest bucks earliest who get the best venues and dates.

I'm still speculating on a big-time real co-headling tour. We'll just have to wait and see.
