This 'Mom' is supposed to be an adult. The reporter's opening statement says it all.

Unfreakinbelievable! How can a mother put her daughter in that position and the mothers are just standing around watching?! Mind you if I saw somebody pummelling my daughter like that I'd be yarding her off by the hair too!

The mom pulling the girl off is the same mom who egged on her daughter to fight to begin with because her daughter thought the other girl was gossiping about her. So the Mom who grabbed the girl's hair needs to be bitchslapped too. She started the whole thing. Good to see that she got charged.

That mother had no business touching the other girl. That girl is TWELVE and I hope her parents sue the fuck out of that woman. Granted... mother's instinct, yes... but that child is a MINOR.... AND.... that girl never would have been beating the daughter up if Psycho Mom had not drove her daughter in the first place.

She sent her daughter in to fight, and when the girl fought BACK as anyone would, the mom yanks her across the grass by her hair? WRONG. If the mom had just happened upon this and came to her child's rescue --- that's one thing --- but MOM STARTED IT. I hope she gets charged for slapping that girl.

Very true and hope she gets charged too. SHE was the one who put her daughter in that position. That's what I was saying.....is if I came across somebody pummelling my daughter I'd be yarding her off too. I tend to get all mother bear and protective of people I care about. I hate fights. Heck I once threw my exhubby's best friend into a wall (many years ago) cuz I thought they were fighting............ but were just drunkinly goofing around.

Girls are becoming more agressive in our schools every day. Fights with girls are more apt to happen than boys. The whole mean girl mentality in high school does not die when some women grow up, they continue to be agressive. The mother is simply passing on her agressive behavior to her daughter.

So true, my daughter just finished high school. We never really had any problems, she was kind of neutral, hung with the popular girls and the quiet girls......but some of the things she told me that went on were unreal, sure boys fight and girls are doing so more, too, but girls can be just vicious to each other.......verbally and mentally too.

Deb you want weird? This goes on to women in the job sites. My husband is so sick of the drama where he works. Just the evil backstabbing and high school crap. I dealt with a woman who made fun of me in art class because she was jealous of the good grades I got in advanced drawing. A 50 year old woman! Talk about needing to grow up! She would snicker and point at me in class. I ignored her for the longest time. My friends were getting pissed off at her. She did this so much to one girl she dropped out of art all together.

Right after that I took her aside and asked her what her problem was. She denied any problem. I said well, then keep your fingers from pointing in my direction if you have no problem. If you want to act like a high school prom reject go back to high school. If not grow up! After that she left me alone. But you think you might get that from some girl fresh out of high school, but a woman older than me? Geez.........

Absolutely. That's why women as a whole are considered catty, bitchy, etc. A lot of women (well, hell, men too a lot of times) react needlessly and poorly to such little things and take every little thing personally, like the world is out to get them. Yeah I've done it too, we all have (I mean react poorly to things), but there's an extreme to it that most of us have dealt with at one time or another. There are people who have a moment and people who act that way in every facet of their life and turn everything into DRAMA.

But at least many people are mature enough to leave that shit back in high school. I worked at this place once, and the office was mostly women. They were SO bitchy behind each others' backs and they tried to drag me into it, asking what I thought about this person or that person... and this was when I'd only been there a couple of weeks. They were looking for me to agree with them and take part... I didn't do it. I mean when you're new and you don't really know anyone, there's NO right answer. If you don't like someone you're a bitch because here you are the new person and already you're hating on people, and if you like the person they don't like then you're the enemy, or something. I felt like I was 14 again... "What do you think of so & so? Oh really? Well then you can't be in our club!" Did NOT mind saying good bye to that place, in the end.

And that's the problem with this mom... she came on like she was ONE of those children.

You have hit the nail on the head when you say it is high school crap. These are women who choose not to grow up. I think your right, due to society pressures we as women can feel insecure at times and over react. But most do not do that all the time.

The ones who seem to get a devilish pleasure out of starting trouble and keeping it stirring have real issues. Most are passive agressive in nature. Start stuff, then back off and play the victoms. You just want go give them their broomsticks and send them on their way! LOL!

One thing I see a lot these days is parents trying to be friends with their kids instead of parents to their kids. I doesn't work well that way. Kids need parents to be parents. They won't respect you the same way if you try to be their friend, and usually resent you for it.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Great point!
We have to as teachers and parents, raise children to function in society. They need to know how adults should act, through example.

And I agree you cannot be a friend to your kid. Not to say you cannot have fun with or love your child. But sometimes you have to be the bad guy in their eyes if you want them to grow up normal. You have to be the one to say, that is not the mature way to handle your buisness.
How can they be an adult when all they see is adults acting childishly?

So true Rick. But some parents simply don't have it in them to give their kids what they need... probably because their parents didn't have any boundaries or use any discipline with them. It's hard to pass on what you didn't receive. My wife is good with disciplining my daughters, and I don't get in the way. I see them becoming more mature because of it. My wife got discipline from her parents, but my single mom was pretty slack so it doesn't come natural for me. I'm way too easy.

It's the same with rudeness and haughtiness. Rude and snotty parents produce rude and snotty kids. Alcoholic and addict parents produce alcoholics and addicts. While this is not always the case, for the most part everything reproduces after its kind.

That still doesn't excuse stupidity and criminal behavior. I hope they put this bitch in jail.
