They had a sketch a couple of weeks ago where Andy Samberg did an impression of Mark talking to animals, saying "say hi to your mother for me" etc. Mark didn't like it so he went on the show to "fight" about it.

They do that "look like you're reading from a cue card" bit on purpose many times. I don't care for the guy's politics but he's generally a decent actor.
