This guy is really growing on me. After watching this video I am sold, http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=89_2UivtEhs just proves how much of a nice guy he really is, down to earth. Powerfull voice, can sing anything with ease, and a good guy, you can't ask for more.

As an emotional kind of girl, the interview on CBS really made me root for him, and then hoping his voice was as good as it appeared to be on the videos I had seen on YouTube. And it was better. Plus, Arnel just has a lot of heart and soul and fits in well with Journey. There is a great energy on stage with the guys. There were certain songs I thought he could never do justice to as far as Perry's sound, and, boy, does he. He continually surprises me. I can't wait until next year. :D

My favorite cover he did on YouTube was Cheap Trick - The Flame also and John Farnham's Help cover.

IMHO , Arnel inteliigence came natuarally inborn coz i was also amazed on how he did learns all those Journey Songs in such a short period of time, i remembered duirng the interivew that he only knew 6 Journey songs such as "Faithfully, Open Arms, Don't Stop Believing, Wheels in the Sky, Separate ways and Stone in Love" but what about the rest of those songs, how did he learns it in such a short noticed and the quickness of the recording process from such a short time before he was annointed as the lead singer of Journey? Does he have a photographic memory? i think he has also a creative freedom to easily interpreted those songs and memorized every single words on that Journey catalog w/c is not easy to remember, this must be one of the reason why neal and Co. easily accepted Arnel as one of them, he's being adaptable to any situation and music pro brings something to the band, not to mention singing all those songs w/ full of emotion but he's down to earth character added to his amazing voice. :D :D

i think they realized what kind of singer they have, maybe thats why they arent going to 'whore' him out and burn his voice out like they did in the past.
