McCain Adviser calls Sarah Palin a "Diva"

This campaign is completely derailed:

CNN.com wrote:McCain aide: Palin 'going rogue'

From CNN Chief National Correspondent John King, CNN Political Producer Peter Hamby, CNN's Dana Bash

Tensions within the McCain-Palin campaign are spilling into the public. A McCain aide told CNN that Gov. Palin is a 'diva.'

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (CNN) – With 10 days to go until election day, long brewing tension between Sarah Palin and key aides to John McCain has become so intense, it is spilling out into the public.

Several McCain advisers have suggested to CNN they have become increasingly frustrated with what one aide described as Palin “going rogue” recently, while a Palin associate says she is simply trying to “bust free” of what she believes was a mishandled roll-out that damaged her.

McCain sources point several incidents where Palin has gone off message, and privately wonder if they were deliberate. For example: labeling robo calls “irritating,” even as the campaign was defending the use of them and telling reporters she disagreed with the campaigns controversial decision to pull out of Michigan.

A second McCain source tells CNN she appears to now be looking out for herself more than the McCain campaign.

“She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone,” said this McCain adviser, “she does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else. Also she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party. Remember: divas trust only unto themselves as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom.”

A Palin associate defended her by saying she is “not good at process questions” and that her comments on Michigan and the robo calls were answers to process questions.

But this Palin source acknowledged that she clearly is trying to take more control of her own message, pointing to last week’s impromptu press conference on a Colorado tarmac.

This woman is definitely very mavericky. It makes me nauseous to listen to her rant. I like the Tina Fey version of her much better.

She's somewhat attractive. But that doesn't mean that she's even close to being qualified to be the Vice President of The United States, or potentially President of The United States.

Her big selling point is that she was in the PTA.

Same with me, you get into too many arguments with people who have differing views. But I had to say it this time.

When has she or anyone in McCain's campaign EVER said that was her big selling point? Please find me a quote.

Well, there have been several occasions where McCain has kind of made a big deal out of the PTA thing. He never said that's why she should be the Vice President, but at the same time he has played that up to be much more of an accomplishment than it is. My mother was in the PTA too, but she's not qualified to be Vice President of The United States.

They've never made it out to be her "big selling point", though. That would be her being the governor of Alaska.

It's obvious that McCain doesn't have a chance of winning this election. He probably realized this before choosing Palin as his running mate, and selected her just so the country would have something to laugh at during these horrible economic times. They say laughter is the best medicine, and Palin sure is providing a lot of that.

If I was a Republican I think I would just go hide somewhere until the election was over. This woman is an embarrassment to the party.

Come on Dave...you're too fucking smart to defend this dope! Even though our politics are diametrically opposed, I know you to be a very intelligent person, who at least tries to be honest. You can't seriously believe that this woman is qualified to be second in command, given that she doesn't even know what the VP does, can you?

The only Constitutional tasks the VP has are to preside over the senate in case of a tie vote and to be 2nd in line in case something happens to the President. She knows that and stated as much in the VP debate. And no, I do not think she is as dumb as most make her out to be. She's possibly MORE qualified to be VP than either Obama or Biden, for that matter.

I think we finally found some common ground bro. I agree wholeheartedly with you on that one.

But I do have some hopes for Barack... and I hope he doesn't let us down. He definitely cannot be any worse than Bush. I never was much of a Clinton fan, but I'll take his economic strategy any day over that of W's.

Yet when pressed, she couldn't name a single newspaper or magazine she reads.
And she was given THREE chances.
Odd.

Well, there you have it. Partisan politics, in action! I guess the only saving grace is that I believe with every fiber of my being, that the vast majority of Americans share my viewpoint, and not yours. Because of that, I will be STUNNED, should McPalin be elected! I may have to consider giving up my citizenship, if my fellow Americans are really dopey enough to let this woman anywhere near The White House. W. was bad enough, but Palin just takes it to a whole new level. By the way, I don't disagree with your point on Obama/Biden. I just think that for me, it's more about voting against what I don't want, more (because I honestly don't want either ticket)!

She probably was reluctant to mention them:

1. High Times
2. Modern Pentecostal
3. Playgirl

There's nothing partisan about what I said at all.

I may have to consider giving up my citizenship, if my fellow Americans are really dopey enough to let this woman anywhere near The White House.

Come on! You can make your point without saying something that ridiculously stupid.

I don't think there's any way on earth that Palin could be anywhere near as bad as Bush. Nowhere near.

The only place where Palin's intellectual acumen is still lauded is on right wing radio.
McSenile's inability to gain traction with his VP shows a changing of the political winds.
With any luck, mainline Republicans will never pay you or the social value vote, any heed ever again.

How could you know? She seems too mavericky to me... and that is the problem with Bush and McCain also. To be an effective leader you have to be open-minded and willing to listen to the American public and your advisors. Bush, McCain, and Palin all three seem like they are maverick types who make risky, impulsive decisions. We don't need that in a president! We need someone who is going to govern in a "by the people, for the people" manner. That DOES require looking at polls to see what the people want. Where did Republicans get the idea that leaders shouldn't look at polls? Sure they should! That's what made Bill Clinton so popular and successful... he governed for the people by yielding to the majority on things that mattered to the American public.

Sure, a president needs to be decisive.... but not in an independent maverick way. That is called a dictatorship.

Clinton governed by polls. People elect leaders because of what they believe not because they want someone who is going to govern according to mob rule.

An obvious attempt and trying to tie me into your sick use of special-needs children. Sorry but this is the second time you've done this. You really enjoy using kids as your props and targets don't you? You're not a real man. You're a damn coward.
