So the Browns finally give Brady Quinn his shot and he plays a flawless game. 0 boneheaded mistakes, no pics, great accuracy and what do we do? Blow a 13 point lead AGAIN after just doing so Sunday thanks to our awful defense and boneheaded penalties/fumble.

i remember those two heartbreaking losses the browns had in AFC championship games back in the mid to late 1980's and both times were to the broncos with a super bowl shot on the line.

It's Cleveland dude! The city isn't meant to be a sports powerhouse. As much as I respect Browns fans, the team sucks. How they go out and hand a game away to a Denver team who isn't very good is why they are the Brownies! Crennel sucks as a coach and should have been fired last year. I said when he got hired away from the Patriots that he would never be a successful head coach anywhere. Look at the bright side though...Quinn really played well for a guy who only had two days of preparation.

Quinn was incredible. Crennel needs to go NOW. His clock management is horrendous, his play calling is usually bad, and what gets me the worst is he shows NO FUCKIN EMOTION OUT THERE. He didn't even look mad after we lost. We need an intense coach to get some of these young guys' heads out of their asses. Someone needs to be barking at Braylon after all those drops, someone should been barking at Kellen Winslow tonight who takes almost as much blame as the defense for tonight. Crennel's canned after this year, hopefully sooner. Bill Cowher please?

Bellichick is one of the least emotional coaches that I've seen in ANY sport in my life, and his press conferences should be banned! The guy is DREADFUL in front of a microphone, but if you win, it doesn't really matter. Romeo simply isn't head coach material and never has been. I would honestly be STUNNED if he ever gets hired as a head coach again. He proved himself to be a very competent coordinator, but that's what he needs to get back to.

I have watched Bellichick for years. Remember, he was here too. Uncharismatic? Yes. But Crennel always looks like he's sitting there digesting the five hundred lbs of food he just ate the entire game. Never talking on his headset, just staring blankly, no looks of disgust after boneheaded penalties, etc. We are a team with a lot of young talent and I really think we need a heavy hand to clean our act up. Do I want Bob Knight on the sideline? No. But I wanna SEE the fight, we were fighting for the last sliver of hope for a season tonight and you woulda thought it was a preseason game. If he's nt gonna get fiery, then at least make it look like he's trying to do something. Fuckin terrible.

The rivarly was once the best in sports..but is now a long, long, long afterthought. It looked like the competition would heat back up and spark a new rivarly, due to last years "coming out party" for the Browns, but that quickly came to an end.

It seems they have so much talent roster wise, but there is just SOMETHING in the Cleveland waters that just doesn't mix with pigskin. I've always said, you could take the whole 2007 undefeated New England Patriots team and put them in a Browns uniform and they would be sub-bar.. it's just the effect Cleveland can have on players!

But Crennel always looks like he's sitting there digesting the five hundred lbs of food he just ate the entire game. Do I want Bob Knight on the sideline? No. But I wanna SEE the fight, we were fighting for the last sliver of hope for a season tonight and you woulda thought it was a preseason game. If he's nt gonna get fiery, then at least make it look like he's trying to do something. Fuckin terrible.

Your offense is going to need keep playing like they did against the Skins to have any hope of a SB run. Your defense can't make something out of nothing, as the Giants game showed. That was a Browns-esque choke

If you think the Stillers' offense showed any signs of a DECENT offense, then I don't know what you were watching. The whole offense as a unit is the worst case of out of sync I've seen yet. (yes, even the Kordell days, they were just BAD.)

Injuries to key players (Starters!), and players with high profiles smoking dope (Holmes) are key reasons for this offense sputtering. Ben hasn't made a whole weeks' worth of practice since Week 1, and that sure doesn't help a certain type of game plan come Sunday. Looks like Willie Parker is FAR from healthy, mix that in with a banged up Quarterback who gets hit 20 times a game, let alone holds onto the ball too long, let alone his receivers not getting open, and let alone his big Tight end in Heath Miller going down last week.. the latest victim. The formula isn't there right now, but the Steelers are a well coached team that finds ways to earn a victory. A true definition of a Total all around team. The defense is a Superbowl defense and will take us far regardless.

As for you saying the loss against the Giants was a Browns-like choke..I disagree. I didn't see it as a choke. I saw a good team beat another good team with a little bit of luck on the winners' side.. okay a bunch of luck. The Steelers were just down to their last gasp player wise and couldn't finish the game. Still, with a banged up team that never refused to quit, had the ball at the end of the game to try to win it. Giants didn't win it and showed me nothing impressive in order to say they deserved to win that day. The events leading up to that week were also not in the Steelers' favor. But hey, we lost.. but the way the Defense played that day, that's what angers me the most.

The day Cleveland hired the guy I said it was a bad move and that he would be an abysmal failure as a head coach. All I'm saying is leave the "he isn't emotional enough" thing out of it. He was another guy who never showed an ounce of emotion, and as I recall, he had a reasonable career!

Yeah, they looked decent against the skins compared to the rest of the games. I mean shit, you guys only managed to put 10 up against our horrendous defense. But, your D is so good, if they can at least look respectable on the offensive side of the ball, they'll be a playoff force to be reckoned with.
