I watched an online interview with Mickey Thomas (recorded last month), where he speaks of upcoming projects. He alludes to an all new Starship album w/ Frontiers Records (still to be recorded), a possible Gospel Christmas album in the works and a few Jefferson Starship/Starship compilations due out via Sony/BMG.
He did not mention anything about that rumored album with Jake E. Lee and Ansley Dunbar that had been reported earlier this year. IS there any new information about this project? Is it still happening?

Not that I am aware of....he's basically the only Starship guy left in the line-up.... So a new album will be a Mickey Thomas solo project more or less. Great singer though...

So it'll be another 'Over the Edge' release?

I'm under the impression (from talking to a couple of his Starship band members) that the new Starship/Frontiers Records deal is with the current Starship touring band. Meaning that the Jake E Lee, Ansley Dunbar project is completely separate.
Also it was reported that they had already begun (or even finished recording) for the Lee/Dunbar project, while Thomas mentioned that the Starship tunes have yet to be recorded.
I'm thinking (and hoping) that these are two separate releases.

Here's the clip where Thomas talks about the Starship/Frontiers Records deal (as well as other upcoming projects);

There is a new Starship song out, the front page had a link to it a while ago, it was supposed to be available on itunes but I never saw it there.
There's also apparently a fairly new Starship live record out, one of Sony's "Extended Versions" stable. I haven't seen it and don't know what tour it's from either.

The new Starship tune is called "Get Out Again" and I did get it from iTunes, so I assume it's still available there. Pretty decent song too. Apparently it got some airplay in certain markets, though I never heard it on the radio myself.
Not sure about the "Extended Versions" release (haven't seen that one yet). There is a live Starship DVD in the can recorded from this past year's tour, but I don't think there's any release date at this point.
