Geez I would rather be shot than drive a bus full of kids, but at the same time the guy was an idiot for doing that! He is lucky nothing bad happened to her. Just think if she was abducted or killed? The guy would be looking at more than a pink slip!

Well the bus driver made a very silly mistake. Having said that, it was a mistake - problem is! now because the media is involved, it has been blown way out of proportion, the girl was safe and fine in the end, so why are they still harping on about it.

The bus driver lost his job because he made an bad decision, and now has to deal with "one mistake" that is yesterdays news. Why did the media get involved? just fire his ass, or give him the phone book treatment and move on. Obviously they were desperate for a story, digging deep as usual.

Yeah, I hate the media.

A nine year old girl dropped in the middle of nowhere, with all the creeps and pedophiles around and some here have said, what is the problem? Problem is he is very lucky nothing happened to her!

Let's say she was a psycho brat. Get her home and report her the next day, make her loose bus privileges, but don't abandon her on the side of the road!

You hit the nail on the head; for Godsake! she's a little girl (The same if it had been a boy) left alone on the side of the road in a world full of predators and God only knows what else. It just make me shudder to think that someone entrusted with the safety of our children could do something so mindless and cruel to a child.
