Yep, the BCS sucks. They do it that way because they can control it. If they didn't, they could wind up with a bowl game that has little interest, just like this years World Series. I think that's why they do it that way anyway.

Yeah, I know the teams fans were interested, but it didn't do well nationally. One of the worst as far as ratings.

I love the conference championships but you are right-all conferences should have them.

Just one more reason that college football is a fucking embarrassment! The fact that college teams can select their out of conference opponents to pad their wins is another fucking embarrassment! The entire system has been screwed up for years and will never be fixed until someone blows up the BCS and implements a playoff system! I grew up playing the game of football and have also coached. I love the game, but the college game is ATROCIOUS! The overtime system is illogical, as is the ranking system! I can only hope that one day in my lifetime that someone with two brain cells connected fixes college football! It's not even football, in my opinion, and that's unfortunate!

Schedules are planned out 5-10 years in advance. I'm sure whatever teams scheduled Boise St. 10 years ago were looking for an easy OOC game. But it is not that way now, is it?

Even conference games sometimes turn out to be cakewalks. I'm sure ACC teams are real scared of FSU....

And any sport - college or professional - that rewards RUNNING UP THE SCORE...is shit in my book. Most of these powerhouse teams that win against OOC teams 66-3, 55-17...etc. Are like a pro team playing highschool chumps. And the fans whoop it up like they actually accomplished something.

If I play Tech in week 3, and they are 1-2 - I beat them. But since they are a losing team...the win isn't really looked at. But if another team plays them in week 9, and they are 7-2....suddenly THAT team is ranked ahead because they played a better team? Damn, imagine if all sports worked like that?

College football is the biggest joke going.....
