Do yourself a favor today and hug your significant other!

I just need a place to go and this place, with all it's craziness, for some reason...has a caring side as well.
My wife had her meniscus repaired on Friday and had a brace place on her leg to keep the knee absolutely straight. After 3 days, because of the incisions, she could take a shower. Well...today, we tried to take that shower. She had brunch, some vicodin and then it was time to try the shower. We had to take the brace off and Right after she put conditioner in her hair, while I was holding her up...she complained of dizziness and then she fainted. I caught her, pulled her out and laid her down on the carpet and then called 911. I did a vigorous sternum rub and in about 1 minute...she came to.
I stayed on with 911 to let her know that she was responsive and then called her surgery center and her doctor.
They say the vicodin and the sudden release of pressure from her brace plus standing on 1 leg and hot water was probably the main reason she fainted.
But I gotta tell...for those 2 minutes...my world was in a paradigm shift.
Her sister, who is a nurse, was with us in the morning and then drove home to LA, but then drove back to check with us. It's good to have family who cares.
So...for me...someone who is unabashedly opinionated, I ask you to give that significant other a hug.
Thanks MR. Pay it forward.
