I found the link on Fark.com. After a few listens, it almost has a Bon Jovi kind of vibe with Het's voice sped up a bit IMO. Definitely an interesting novelty.

A lot of this stuff is popping up all over. Where are people getting the raw vocal tracks etc ?

I think alot of it is being extracted from the practice modes of Rock Band and possibly Guitar Hero. I believe you can turn off various instruments and vocals so you can just practice whichever one you want. There are quite a few items on Youtube that were created that way.
