Who Would Perry Tour With?

Okay, we've speculated about what songs Perry would play if he were to release a solo project and go on tour. What would interest me even more is who he would tour with. Neal went online and replaced Perry with a YouTube singer. Would Perry do the same to complete his band lineup? Or, would he extend a peace treaty with Neal and Jon and ask them to be part of his solo lineup? What about Randy Jackson on bass? Would he ask Steve Smith to play drums? I mean, c'mon... this is Steve fucking Perry. He could probably handpick any lineup he wanted and they would do it. I realize it's possible that Perry wouldn't tour if he released a solo album... but it doesn't hurt to speculate.

Who do you think should be in Perry's lineup if he were to tour?

Based on what SMFP seems to want to sing....if he chooses that R&B route again:

Guitar - John Frusciante
Bass - Flea
Drums - Chester Thompson
Keys - David Bryan

I'd like to see Perry do a few shows with Cetera and DeYoung. They could each sing about 10 songs each and an older, mature crowd wouldn't expect the "rockers." Those 3 dudes have quite a catalog of ballads. There wouldn't be a pair of dry panties in the house.

Throw Bryan Adams on this bill, then watch the American Legion and Moose Lodges come a-calling.

Actually an Adams, Stewart, Perry bill would be awesome.

Stewart still sells out large arenas by himself. Why split the moolah when he can have it all?

How about every member that has ever been in Journey? That would be a big fucking lineup. Just think of the backing vocal possibilities!

Can Nova even sing anymore?
...As far as I know, all he's done for the last 20 years is pen music for Celine Dion. (no joke)

Speaking of tours, does anyone know what Journey's plans are for next year?

I'm guessing they want to keep the momentum going and will start touring again
soon, but I haven't found anything on any of their websites.

I would think so - his voice was never one of the best but he definitely could sing well. I would guess that he still has the ability. I would take whatever I could get! I think he's put on a few pounds over the years, but that's nothing that a few months at the gym can't solve.
