Elisa Furr? Perry Produced?

Postby Memorex » Tue Nov 18, 2008 3:34 am

Who and why? I never heard about this.

"Furr released her debut independent self-titled album last year. The album, co-produced by former rock band Journey’s vocalist Steve Perry, comprises four Dion songs and six original compositions by Furr."

Weird. With as many people as I know are out there putting "Steve Perry" into google news search DAILY, how has this one not popped up?

I expect a very moist jump in sales this week for that album with a direct credit going to this thread.

Damp drawers are always a good a good first choice.

Well, let's see about some grist for the rumor mill ...

There is no Elisa Furr; it's really SMFP singing in a lower register, and the name is code in remembrance of kittens he's dispatched ...

No... just making fun of the ever-present snail trail that the poor guy has to hurdle over every time he leaves his house.

(I'm not necessarily excluded from that... once in awhile even I succumb ... and no plays on spelling there... we all see the joke...  )

If it's the same, Elisa Furr, she used to post on the Journey Digest several years ago.

Here's her MySpace page link: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... d=86520703

Malaysian newspaper MISQOTE regarding me and STEVE PERRY?
Category: News and Politics

Well I was seriously misquoted again in another interview. This one with the Malaysian Press. I was not going to say anything but I am getting emails now so I feel like I must publicly state this.

In my interview, the interviewer was asking me what all I have done musically.

Those of you know me.. know that I write music and usually with my co producer /songwriter Paul Taylor formerly of WINGER and STEVE PERRY FAME.

Well, the press somehow got out of that statement that STEVE PERRY co produced my CD! I have no idea how they put all those sentences together to form that statement but it is amazingly incorrect as I have NEVER met STEVE PERRY and he certainly did not PRODUCE my CD! I WISH!

KIND OF FUNNY but still.. NOT TRUE! AND EMBARRASING if anyone thinks I would ever say anything so ridiculously untrue!

Thanks

And now do you all see why you can pretty much not trust ANY mention of Steve Perry that is printed or verbalized anywhere on the planet? No media of any kind can be trusted with ANYthing. That includes dumbass DJs and VJs.

Just like you can't trust anything that comes out of his mouth. See "I never felt a part of the band" and "I think there's a good chance you'll be seeing us on the road soon" for references.

Actually, funny you should say that. Celine Dion has just cancelled quite a few shows because of a continued respiratory virus. They should call her to fill in for her.
