The vocals were pretty good, but those were 2 uninspring shit songs. I feel bad for the guy that they didn't give him something better to sing. I sure won't be going to hear TSO sing Christmas carols anytime soon. I thought they rocked out?

They do more in the second half. The first half is more of a Christmas story. Your loss, it's an outstanding show!

Deb, you and Robin are the best! Jeff is quite the performer, isn't he? I can't wait until New Year's weekend when I see them.

Yeah, it's a personal thing. I absolutely despise Christmas songs. They're creepy.

Books of hymns that are in every pew that you sing out of... might be a protestant thing.
The preacher says "Turn in your hymnals to number 217 while we sing 'How Great Thou Art'".
Then you nudge the person next to you to wake them up, everyone stands up drowsily, and mumbles along with the song.

 ...Ahhh memories.

Maybe you'll like this one better. Very different version than what you might think. Jeff on vocals with a nice little guitar battle at the end.

Definition of a hymnal: a book of hymns for use in a religious service. May also contain prayers and the words of the actual service.

In regard to seeing TSO, I've seen this concert that past two years (and will see it again this year) -- It is one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Also, some of the most talented musicians I've ever seen......especially love the woman violinist....truly amazing. A solid, 2 1/2 hours of music, with no breaks......

I wholeheartedly agree! TSO is OUTSTANDING! I have only seen them once before - last year and will be seeing them again this year. They are all so talented and Jeff and his talent is a perfect addition to the show. I can't wait to see this year's show - later this week.

Being on the West Coast it was great to see Al Pitrelli and Angus Clark. I would also have loved to see Alex Skolnick. I haven't seen him since seeing him play years ago with Testament. TSO - West Coast or East - they are all great musicians.

Robin - thanks for the videos!

My daughter just loved Angus....fun to watch. I'd never seen TSO before and didn't know what to expect.....I'm not a big Christmas song person. It was great! I'd go again if they played here again, JSS or not. Rocked up Christmas, I like! :D Got a kick out of Jeff, you could so see he just wanted to bust loose a couple times. He's got so much energy. Lets it rip there at the end and the crowd cheers, love it. :) You'll notice that later this week.....have a great time. You and Wendy going to the same show?

Had he dressed like that (coattails) when he was in Journey, I would've liked him a lot.

Thanks!

I love Christmas songs (and hymns!)- and rocked up is right up my alley!! The family isn't too crazy about it though when I break them out in the middle of the year. :?

Angus is great!

No, we got our tickets at the exact same time, but we weren't able to get tix at the same venue. :? We both got great seats from the looks of it, just diff nights. Wish it worked out together though.

Pitrelli is the guy who is responsible for most, if not all, of those great TSO guitar solos. My favorite player next to Neal.

I agree, he is very good. Poor guy is doing this season so far, in a chair on stage.....after hurting himself landing on his knee wrong at one of the first shows.

Are there dates where JSS is touring with them anywhere? I'm going with some family members to the St. Louis show and want to know if he is on that leg of the tour.

Perry could have done the same.
