Why wasn't the TV crew giving her a heads up on that one.

According to news reports, her staff members actually did alert her to the carnage going on in the background, and she simply didn't seem to care. I'm certainly not holding the carnage against the Puppet, because I LOVE eating turkey. It's just beyond bizarre that ANY politician would want that for a backdrop for an interview, considering the whole thing centered around a "turkey pardon". Did you get a look at that sick fuck in the background committing the turkey homicides? That dude was smiling as he was hacking off heads. What a nutbag

I was looking at this earlier but then I saw the 19 year old kid who offed himself on the webcam, and completely forgot about Palin and her "Faces of Death part 10" interview with the turkey action going on.

I say she need's to stop doing these interviews and move to the adult film industry. But that's just me.

On one hand it was unprofessional for her to have the interview with that going on in the background and however it went down it falls on her. Either her staff was asleep at the wheel and she hired them. They are her responsibilty.
On the other hand, how do people think they get to the plate? That is how it goes down.
I think she was making a point that the pardoning of a turkey is ridiculous. I am no Palin fan, but I think this is much ado about nothing.
I LOVE turkey by the way. It is beyond an obsession. When I was a kid they had to hide the turkey after dinner or I would eat everything.

I had MSNBC on in my office when they broke into Countdown and literally made it seem like she had just committed the single worst interview gaffe in the history of politics. Then they went into extreme detail about how they were blurring out portions, and that they had to edit out other stuff. Told people to remove their kids from the room, then proceeded to show it about 10 times in a row.
Slow news day evidently.

Well as I said in my initial post, I certainly don't think Palin commited any crimes or atrocities. I think the woman is one of the more incompetent politicians I have ever seen, but I don't blame her for the way turkeys are delivered to my Thanksgiving table. I just think she should have had a bit more common sense than conducting an interview with that happening right in back of her. I was actually pissing myself laughing while watching the interview. It's definitely the most bizarre backdrop I've ever seen.

Oh I agree. Horrible planning, and actually if you listen to what she is saying, it's just a bunch of garbled gook. It's like listening to a 16 year old do her first interview as class clown.

I realize that MSNBC clearly has an agenda, given their programming. That said, this isn't really a partisan issue. It's a truly bizarre interview, whether it's Palin, Biden, Obama, or McCain up there. The woman is there to pardon a turkey while their heads are being cut off, on camera. I think most people would find this a bit bizarre, even if she weren't there to do some goofy "turkey pardon"!

Don't single out MSNBC. CNN, ABC, even the BBC had video of it, it was just a knuckle head thing that her handlers missed. She didn't mind the good press she got all week with Greta, so with the good comes the bad too. You can't have your cake and eat it too.
