Clip from Hit Man - David Foster & Friends DVD:

Wow - Michael Johns does a really good job on these 2 songs. Might have to pick this up (except I'm not really a fan of most of the other performers on this). Looking forward to MJ's CD next year, I'm sure it'll be good :D .

Very cool, I liked him on AI. Had no idea David Foster co-wrote She's A Beauty and Man In Motion. :o Loved both of those back in the 80s. Thanks. :)

Thanks Triple S. I would have missed that. When David Foster notices good things happen. Just ask Josh Groban. AI is not about musical talent, but selling commercials. DF also has a song up with Katherine McPhee. Just look at he criticism Simon put on Johns. I'll go with David Foster.

David Foster produced Chicago 16, 17, and 18, the most successful albums in that band's long existance.

17 was the most successful. 16 was very successful compared to XIV which it followed but pretty ordinary saleswise against most of the band's Columbia era catalog. 18 was actually one of Chicago's weaker albums saleswise ... it only went gold.

Michael Johns should have won AI by a landslide. Foster knows talent. He's the male equiv of Diane Warren.

Wow - this was a DVD? Was it broadcast (in Canada??) Geeze - I haven't heard anything from David Foster in awhile. Wish they didn't cut off She's a Beauty. Michael Johns sang the ____ out of both tracks. Good stuff!

The show was in Vegas. I believe it's going to be broadcast on TV sometime in early December but the CD/DVD combo is already out, I think Amazon has it.

Now that I look more closely at the details of this, definitely will be getting it.

Both SAB and MIM have the Dave Foster signature sounds all over them. Infact SAB was co-written by Steve Lukather who worked with Foster on Chicago 18. Plus MIM used Chicago's horn section. So... 8)

Her performance with Celine Dion blew the roof of the place. It was incredible. Look for it on youtube. It's easy to find. They sang Because You Loved Me.

Foster also produced/arrainged Seal's new cd Soul - it's covers of real r&b classics and soul - saw him do "I've been lovin' you too long" last week.

Got this DVD/CD in the mail today. It is really, really good.

I had absolutely no idea that David Foster was actually in the Canadian band Skylark - this is one of my favorite songs ever (and BTW - JSS does a killer rendition of this song :) )

Sorry to burst your bubble, unfortunately MIM does not use Chicago's horn section, but Jerry Hey, Gary Grant, Larry Williams & Bill Reichenbach

Cheers
