NFL Week 13

Postby YoungJRNY » Sun Nov 30, 2008 5:54 pm

NFL schedule for Week 13:

Dolphins @ Rams: Phins over Rams. The Rams are such a sorry species as a once promising NFL team, that it's sickening. The Dolphins are avenging that 1-15 season from a year ago, and have been playing up to par with the rest of the league, and in the division. They need a win here, and a loss to NE to try to stay in a WC hunt. Dolphins by 24.

49'ers @ Bills

*UPSET* Colts at Browns: Browns over Colts. Major limb here, but I see Indy struggling against a bad team that is desperate to show signs of life in their own city. DA got his starting job back and will once again have to prove he's worthy to play in this league. Manning is likely to torch that pitiful Browns D, but somehow someway, Browns pull the upset. Browns by 3.

Panthers @ Packers

Ravens @ Bengals

Saints @ Buccaneers

Giants @ Redskins: Giants over Redskins. Could be all you want in a game, esp a great match up in the division, but the Giants are the best team in football, and they are showing it week in, and week out. They will cause havoc for a Redskins team who has been playing mediocre ball. Giants by 10.

Falcons @ Chargers : Chargers over Falcons. For some reason I just think that San Diego is BETTER THAN THEY ARE ADVERTISING and even though they are still in it for a WC, they are all but done, or so it seems. Falcons are due to play horribly and SD is due to get the W after close Loss's all season. San Diego is a tough place to play. Chargers by 13.

Broncos @ Jets

Steelers @ Patriots: Steelers over Patriots. There's no one in this world that would love to see the Steelers take down the Patriots, more than me. These bastards had our number for the past 8 years and it's about time to man up to these guys. This is going to be a tough game in ALL PHASES, possibly the toughest of the year ala Baltimore. The Steelers D is about giving up short yardage. The Patriots offense is built off of short yardage. The team has better redzone play wins this game. It can go either way.. big, and it could be a match come playoff time. Steelers by 19. Good luck John.

Chiefs @ Raiders: This is just a fun one to pick, and a risky one. I like picking a challenge and both teams just REAK. Your guess is as good as mine, but the Raiders seem to playing better now that Mcfadden is getting his time. Raiders might reak, but the Chiefs RANK! Raiders by .5 :D

Sun Night

Bears @ Vikings

Mon Night
Jaguars @ Texans

My picks are ones that could go either way, and it'll be interesting to see how it plays out. That's why it's the NFL and... "That's why they play the game!"

Game on..
HERE WE GO STEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLERS!!!!!!!

NFL schedule for Week 13:

Dolphins @ Rams: Dolphins win easily!

49'ers @ Bills - Tough game. I think the Bills squeak by.

Colts at Browns: Colts continue their winning ways.

Panthers @ Packers - Packers

Ravens @ Bengals - Ravens

Saints @ Buccaneers - This is a tough one. I have no right to pick the Saints to win anything, based on their putrid defense, but I think they pull off the upset here.

Giants @ Redskins - Giants continue to be the best team in football, and I think they beat an inconsistent Redskins team.

Falcons @ Chargers : I think Atlanta has the better team. The Chargers have proven this entire season that they are a fraud of a team who simply can't win games that they're supposed to win. That said, I think the Chargers pull out a close one.

Broncos @ Jets - Upset special...The pathetic Broncos beat the Jets!

Steelers @ Patriots: This is going to be a VERY tough game. The Patriots have a far better offense than the Steelers. The Steelers defense is sooooo much better than what the Patriots have. I think this will be a very low scoring game. The team who turns the ball over the most in this game loses. Even though I think defense wins in the NFL, I think the Patriots pull off the upset and beat the Steelers in a close one.

Chiefs @ Raiders - Two of the worst teams the NFL has to offer. Not even close family and friends care about this one. I have no freakin' clue who pulls this one off, but I'll go with the Raiders.

Bears @ Vikings - Tough game. I like the Bears in a close one

Jaguars @ Texans - The battle for last place. I like the Texans to pull it out.

Smiling from ear to ear. What better way to get things going at the end of the season with a demolishing effort in a demolishing of the Patriots. Started out sloppy thanks to drops from both teams that would have resulted in points and first downs, but the game is how you respond, and my Stillers just ass kicked all around the field and it's nice to have the offense and defense clicking at the same time, and having some things bounce our way. Couldn't have happened to a better team to do a beat down against. Even though they got ripped a new asshole, if the Pats make the playoffs they won't be a team that other teams want to face.

Me and John split 3-3 this week.

I bet that's 25k easily, and was possibly the most brutal hit I've ever seen and there are lots of them. Still, I enjoyed it from a football standpoint

I'm so glad the Chargers got rid of Marty. That choker was really holding the team back. I bet they
don't lose a playoff game this year, not with Norv at the helm. I'm relieved Spanos guaranteed his return for next year, San Diego deserves a coach like him.

lol...Marty had that team running on all cylinders. How you fire a guy after a 14-2 season is beyond me. I get your sarcasm, though.

I agree with you that he'll be fined a minimum of $25K. He clearly hit Welker after the play was over, and the NFL simply doesn't take kindly to that. As for the game, Pittsburgh deserved to win that game. That said, let's not get too carried away that their offense and defense are coming together. The Steelers won that game because the Patriots turned the ball over FIVE freakin' times in the second half! You can't beat a Pop Warner team doing that. Not to mention, most of the turnovers occurred on the Patriots side of the field, which basically handed Pittsburgh points. The Steelers did nothing remotely remarkable, offensively. Their defense was solid, but always is. The Steelers offense still needs work, because not every team they face in the playoffs will gift wrap three touchdowns off of turnovers for them!

I agree, and by the start of it, Bens first pass that was picked by Vrabel, I thought the score would actually be flipped because that's just the way N.E games go for us. The way N.E lost with the turnovers is the way the Steelers have been losing all season, (and actually against N.E the past 8 years.) Turning the ball over at critical points in the game, esp ones in your own territory. The difference is, that the Steelers defense earned it by simply beating their men across from them. James Harrison is the monster in a Quarterbacks closet and will continue to be.

1/12 on third downs won't cut it for any team, either. The Steelers offense is light years away from where they should be, but there were many drives that took major chunks off the clock and where the offense was moving smoothly throughout the game. If the offense plays that good, and it wasn't nowhere near great.. Pittsburgh will be one of the hardest to beat in January.
