One of the guys I'm dating sent me a youtube link in email this morning which led me to this one.....

I noticed the picture used of Perry playing bass, hadn't seen the pic before. I saw another pic taken of him in his home once holding an acoustic guitar. This pic made me curious so...just stopping by because I realized I can't recall having seen any video footage of Perry playing an instrument other then keeping the beat on the keys in the '81 concert footage during one song and since this is the place to ask....
Does anyone know if video footage exist's with Perry playing guitar or drums?

Not sure about videos of him playing. He has stated a couple times that he loves writing songs on bass rather than piano or guitar though, I've always found that really interesting.

I didn't know that...it is interesting that he prefers to write to a bass. Would love to see some footage of one of his writing sessions, wouldn't you? I would also love to see some of his artwork.

Video footage? Not that i know of, but there is an audio boot of him playing bass.

Yes, I have read he writes his songs using a bass guitar. On the road, he would pick up Ross's when an idea comes into his head. I believe that's how WalksLikeALady and TheParty'sOver were written.

When he collaborated with KennyLoggins and came up with Don'tFightIt, they don't were sitting down, each with a guitar.

I think when JonCain came into the band, the songwriting dynamics changed within the band.
