Beautiful Day

Postby Rockindeano » Thu Dec 11, 2008 2:15 am

My oh my. This early morning, I arrived home from my job, which I am very grateful to have, to see the sun peaking over the San Gabriel Mountains. Filled with joy and optimism, and the holding thought of a fresh new day, I literally had a bounce in my step, as I skipped over frost laden grass, to my neighbour walking her cute little dog. I exchanged good mornings with her, asked how her husband was doing, and with a quckt pat on the pups head, snatched the morning Los Angeles Times and headed in the door. I love you Lula graciously came out of mouth and a hug for Wyatt was fulfilled. I scurried into the kitchen to brew some fresh coffee for my lovely girlfriend and ran her bath water for her. A smile had firmly entrenched itself on my face and it was just. We as people should give thanks for the opportunity to live our lives, and to give our well wishes and love to our fellow citizens. After all, we the people are each others crutches when we need to lean on someone, or ears when we need someone to listen to us. So today, put aside the anger, the disdain, and the hate. No mocking threads about subpar football programs, no decisively telling another poster off. All love today, on the new and improved Melodicsoftrock.com. Today, we unite, we love, and we cherish the day before us.

Now, please, each of you, step up and saying something nice about a fellow member, a fellow family member, Andrew, Mr. Cain, Neal, God, whomever.

It feels good to be alive!

Wow, Dean, look at that sweet sensitive side showing 8) . It sounds like a great day. Those kind of joyful perfect days are awesome. Good for you, and even better that you're sharing it with Lula and the little one.

On the other hand, my day sucks. My software program is corrupted and I've lost a lot of info and settings, and have been back and forth on the telphone with support since 7 this morning and killing time inbetween.

Okay. I will take a breath and say something nice. The weather is stunning here in Florida today, and at least I'm working out of my home today, instead of holed up in the office, and have all the windows open overlooking a beautiful lake.

I enjoy everyone here on MR, because I love the sweet, nice, not so nice, sarcastic, and brutally honest comments. Very colorful board with lots of unique personalities. I especially love all I've learned about music here.

And I think Neal Schon rocks and Arnel is doing an awesome job.

Great thread, Dean. And keep taking that Valium

There is a lovely Bluebird cleaning itself on my window perch. It just does not get any better than this!

I think I am going to name the little fella. How about, Chirpy? Chirpy sounds cute. Chirpy it is.

Is this what Canadian beer does to you? No wonder Deb's post always send a trail of little rainbows across my screen whenever I read them.

I can see the uniting before my very eyes. This is indeed a beautiful thing. Nice to see Gunbot embracing the gay community with the rainbows. Putting away the hate for homosexuals GB is healthy. You did the right thing, Sir. Now get out there and hug somebody!

All of earth is my home. I am nurtured in every place, in every situation. As I leave behind that which is familiar and/or outgrown, I find new places where I also find love. Bearing goodwill, I will also find goodwill. I am not alone. Friendships find me. Today I embrace the new. I am at home in every place. Today my heart prepares a place for new arrivals. Or some shit like that.....

You had me until that last uncalled for sentence. Was it really necessary to include a vulgarity StocktontoMalone? I think you should consider rewriting this, and this time, be sincere.

Today's the day when people get the benefit of the doubt. No ripping a second hole for comments posted....Wouldn't that be a novel idea?

Sorry, is this the legendary bad arse Rockindeano I've heard so much about? Surely not!

Or did Granny hijack his account?
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Falsely accusing others of acts or crimes they haven't committed, is not right and you should not only retract this statement, but issue a sincere apology to Granny. She deserves better.

Your assumed word "arse" is not even a word. Please adjust to the American way of spelling and in the future, at least attempt to use a substitute word.

Thanks

I have no evidence that she hasn't hijacked your account, however I shall apply the theory of innocent until proven guilty, and retract that hypothetical suggestion.

And just call you a wimp. Image

And you Sir, Mr. Gunbot, associating a cute little kitten with a dangerous semi-automatic weapon for cheap thrills is flat out indecent. No room for that kind of humour here Sir.

Tut tut - editing your post? Who do you think you are, good sir? I'faith, me thinks thou art a blaggard!

As for my spelling of the word arse as long as the clock at the top of the page has my local time and not the USA's, I'll stick to the correct spelling. And pronunciation - there is an 'r' in the word, you know.

I just revisited this thread as "Silent Night" happened to be on the radio and a Candy Cane Hershey's Kiss melted in my mouth, and quite suddenly I experienced a rush of what can only be described as ooey-gooey goodness. I'm not even bothered by the fact that the hershey's kiss was gross.

Additionally, the next song after Silent Night was "Do They Know Its Christmas"...
What the heck, Rhi... how did you know?

Haha, seriously though, I don't know what to say here. I'm shocked and appalled, but in a good/WTF type of way.
