Stage Stunt May Have Led To Singer's Death
24-Year-Old Died After Performance At Boston University

BOSTON -- A stage stunt may have led to the death of a 24-year-old lead singer of a local band, according to the Boston Globe.

Dominic Mallary, of Worcester, was performing at Boston University on Thursday night. Toward the end of the show, he performed his signature move and coiled the microphone wire around his neck as he sang, the newspaper reported.

The pressure caused a clot in his jugular vein that and stopped oxygen from flowing to his brain. Friends said that he appeared fine immediately after the performance, but later felt dizzy and had a lack of sensation in his legs. He died the following day at Boston Medical Center.

Mallary was an Emerson graduate student who counseled homeless people.

How sad. God, his poor family.

In the real world, not in the make believe land where the pixies and faries resiide buddy. The fact of the matter, this type of shit happens everyday, this story sounds pretty much like a freak occurrence?, as everyone here has been choked at some point in our lives, even with our own hands, as kids, we do that stuff for fun, play wrestling or even school yard fights, who knows, it just happens a lot.

That is really sad to read.We never know when our time is up.
