That's cool. It's a good picture of him (in a hetrosexual kind of way!). I just wish it was a new album instead of another compilation.

Looks to be from the FTLOSM photo shoot.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Looks like they got rid of that grainy look from the shoot.

Is that the shirt that he wore for the Graham memorial? It looks like about that time.

In some cases, I believe they fulfill contractual obligations per number of releases.....but in this case, obviously not.

To answer your question; because they sell? This one might actually grab some people because many either do not know of his FTLOSM or GH+5, and this will fill the their void. If you ask me, I would rather have this compilation than a redone classics disc. I hope it sells well. I love this guy.

Also, maybe this is Steve's way of putting feelers out there, to test interest?

It's times like these I have to wonder how many 'official' pictures are still out there that most of us haven't seen...

I hope this is more along the lines of an Eric Clapton-type greatest hits release, where songs are included from his time in bands previous to his solo career. Eric's GH albums all have stuff from the Yardbirds, Cream, Bluesbreakers, etc. I hope they put Journey stuff on this release.

Eric Clapton? Did someone say Eric Clapton? He-he, my other obsession....I actually named my youngest after the guy. You are right and i wonder, too...maybe the way the contracts were written back then?

Playlist: The Very Best of Steve Perry
Steve Perry (Artist)

Welcome to the Playlist series. We've fished through hundreds of tracks to cherry pick the perfect playlists. Not just the hits, but...the life-changing songs. The out-of-print tracks. The fan favorites everyone loves. The songs that make the artists who they are. You'll no doubt enjoy the sound of the beautifully remastered songs on this CD, unlike the compromised sound of an MP3 file.

You might also like the fact that the packages are environmentally-friendly (no plastic, 100% recycled paper). But we think the thing you'll appreciate most about this Playlist is that even though you didn't make it, you might wish you did. This package has been created with the environment in mind. All of the paperboard is 100% recycled and 100% recyclable. Of course, we would prefer that you not throw this package or CD away. We would prefer that you keep it in your collection to enjoy for many years to come! Full liner notes, photos, and more included as a PDF file on this CD. Enjoy!

Ohhhhhhh, hate to say this but he has to show me that he can still capture me with his voice and music now...old tunes do nothing but bring back great memories. I've heard this music'; it's time to hear his voice as it is today. No way is this a test to see if the fans are still interested; it's strictly a money making venture by the company.

You know, I have that sinking feeling your are 100% correct. Although there is no proof on this matter, though given the track record, all the signs are pointing down south.

Totally. 8) I *thought* there was at least one more Alien song that hasn't been officially put out there. I could be wrong, but I think I heard of another title that wasn't one of the recently released ones.
