What is it with our USA presidents? It's getting hard to find one that can speak clearly. Bush had his problems with stuttering, trying to find words, etc, etc, but Obama takes it to the next level, some seriously long pauses, "look" over and over, several "uh" in a sentance, etc, etc. When he has a prepared statement to make he sounds very good, but when he has to fly solo, man.... the pauses, "uh"s, the excessive use of "look", etc, etc, just makes him look really really...bad.

The difference is that Obama's brain is actually processing the question at hand with his intellect and Bush was receiving instructions from Dick Cheney via a wireless earpiece.

Yeah, I'm a big Obama supporter, but I know what you mean by all the "uh" going on. Even with that though, its infinitely better than the train wreck that is W.

What drives me nuts about Obama is the way he says the word "to". He pronounces it "tuh".

Obama is seriously well spoken. I also believe he listens to each and every question he is asked, processes the question and responds with a well-formulated, articulate response.

Contrast this with Hayseed, who can only seem to talk 'hick' when he has to think for himself and respond to a question...otherwise, he responds the way his handlers want him to respond...I've often wondered why Bush explains things to the press with such over-simplified, non-articulate answers. Then I realized that he is simply echoing the way it was explained to him...that's all.


While I'm not going to sit here and tell anyone with a straight face that I expect Obama to fix everything...or even anything...I am quite excited for the prospects of a president that doesn't appear like a complete fucking idiot on tv.
