OT: Missing Avatars - Road Runner; Two Thumbs Down
Posted: Fri Dec 19, 2008 10:39 pmI had been hosting a couple of peoples avatars, to help them out, and without an email or any notice whatsoever, Road Runner decides to revamp their homepage service and deleted everything. I lost all my avatars, which I had MANY, and other peoples avatars as well.
So, if I was hosting your avatar, I'm working on a solution, but as of yet, don't know what it'll be, as the new webhosting service they have will not allow me to hotlink to pictures, or if they do, I haven't figured out how yet. My main problem here is, I can't remember who all I was hosting for. Please PM me or post in this thread if I was hosting your av and when I get things figured out, I'll work on getting your av back.
Road Runner took over for Comcast about a year ago, and I thought Comcast sucked. Road Runner is pitiful. At least here they are. This is just one reason out of many that I'm extremely dissatisfied. They also, without ANY warning just dropped their NTTP service. That was my main source of software pirating.
