This is disgusting. After causing the loan crisis ,they have the nerve to do this while 2 million have lost their jobs. Every memeber of Congress deserves a pink slip and no lawyers need to apply.

I think they've all earned it! I hope they all have a great Christmas, and enjoy some much needed time off with their families.

Fuck them all. Every single one. I don't care which party they're from.

Sure Mr. Congressman, why don't you come on into my house, drink my beer, eat my food, and fuck my girl. Take a rubber while you're at it.

I think they should be paid according to their success rate, or decrease their pay for lack of returns. Right now they should be working for free in my humble estimates.............for the next 500 years........

Obama and Bush both should step up on this one and say something. This just looks terrible.

First off, who uses rubbers? eewww.

Secondly, they haven't received a pay raise. They get an automatic cost of living adjustment and they have to vote to block it, if they don't want it. It will be interesting to see if it gets voted on before or after the Bush Admin leaves. I would hope the Democrat majority is smart enough to vote to block it. Looks real bad in these here times.

Yeah, let's hope. A local mom n pop jewelry store just got robbed down the street here. Several house break-ins. Very atypical. I think even people who wouldn't normally do this kind of shit are getting so desperate that they'll do anything, especially during the holiday season. This is the last thing people need to see right now.

I don't know...Typically only real criminals, not needy people, do stuff like that.

I don't know for sure either, just theorizing. I do think that desperation can breed criminal behavior... that + the fact that robberies very seldom occur around here and the fact that this particular jewelry store hasn't had one incident in over 20 years of business leads me to believe that some of those perpetrating the crimes are not those with mile-long rap sheets...

Ehwmatt, people have to get pretty desperate to get to that level, if they never did it before. Besides they are more likely to get caught and worsen a bad situation.

Run by Democrats? Barely a handful lead in the Senate. My point is they will have an even larger majority in January. I for one would think Obama would appeal to them to block this and I would think they would.

You Cons crack me up. The GOP controls the entire Congress for 6 years, things are in the shitter, and then the Dems get Congressional power back and in just two years time, it's all their fault. There is just enough republicans to block stuff and fuck things up. If those Georgian racist bigots hadn't voted that fuck Saxby Chambliss back in, and Franken does end up winning Minnesota, the Dems would have filibuster proof 60 votes, and a Dem president. Fuck I hate the South.

Obama is trying to expand his tent to reach everyone. The gays will balk at it. There is no appeasing them really. They will probably be protesting at the inauguration. Fuck em, and I think Obama is right to include All Americans in his vision, but Rick Warren would never be invited if I were being sworn in.

No and the big huge circus that the media is making out of it is just insane. He's praying....end of story....a prayer....what is everyone worried about that he's going to pray for all gays and lesbians to be purged from the earth.....and then his "wish" being granted....again, he's PRAYING I don't see how his beliefs has any impact at all.

First of all, people are getting pretty desperate. Second of all, they are LESS likely to think about the consequences you allude to in the throes of desperation. I'm not saying someone that wouldn't even think about tossing a straw wrapper out the window is suddenly apt to commit grand larceny, but there are certainly people out there that might be inclined to "slip" facing a dire situation.

I don't know too much about him--he does hope that gays and lesbians are purged from the earth? Hmmm... I thought I heard or read somewhere that he won't be the only minister or whatever giving a prayer; true?

I listened to Limbaugh for about an hour yesterday and could never figure out what he was talking about--I know Mika B. got mugged but he was saying something about the mugger would have to go mug somebody else to get his $20 since she only had $6--wtf? Seemed desperate to sling mud there... What is a drive-by feminist? Tried to listen without judging but couldn't stand it very long--he sounds a little loony. Then tried to listen to Sean Hannity today; what a horrible guy.

Speaking of horrible guys, yes, I think Blagoyevich(sp) is a horrible guy, too. Pretty passionate about defending himself today but wondering if he's trying to make a deal behind the scenes. Could Patrick Fitzgerald be a renegade prosecutor? Do you Chicagoans have any opinion about Fitzgerald?

I listened to him in the car--sometimes gotta know what the other side is up to. He wasn't as horribly offensive yesterday as he usually is so I listened to him... This time he sounded a little loony and I did not understand what in the heck kind of insult he was trying to make. I thought Hannity was worse than Limbaugh. Both reading right out of Atwater's playbook.

then were all screwed... it only took them and bush two years to screw up everything...when gop was in...things went pretty good considering you had 9.11 to deal with in the beginning... but really oil is the main issue as to why the crises got so bad....
no one could afford to pay anything...and it caught up to us...

What? Are you fucking high? When ever were things good in the last eight years? Give me one good fucking year? You can't, and this has Bush and the GOP's hands all over the mess.

Good God already. Open your fuckin eyes and your mind too!
