SW is played in the beginning of the movie and then a pretty good clip blasts through the theater during a scene. The movie is very funny throughout. I wanted to see Seven Pounds but got out voted.

My son saw Yes Man Saturday night and that's the first thing he said about it when he got home too-"Mom, there was a Journey song in the movie...twice!"

My wife and I saw it tonight. Funny as hell! Jim Carrey is back in his element.

Seven Pounds - really good movie. Gran Torino - even better.

And it looks llike Don't Stop Believin' closes out Bedtime Stories.

Add Monster and Heavy Metal

Monster probably made the best use of a Journey song the way DSB was incorporated into the skating rink scene.

DSB is also in "The Comebacks."

The football team has a big inspirational bonding moment where they all rock out Journey-style, but they dress up more like Cinderella or something than Journey. However, one guy does put on a mean Steve Perry look.

The Soundtrack for the movie links to the original versions (Journey's GH CD on the Amazon site and Escape on Itunes)
It would be strange to have the Revelation Version in the movie but be selling the original version on the Soundtrack.

I saw Bedtime Stories yesterday and I couldn't believe it - the second new movie I've seen in a month that had a Journey song in the soundtrack.

It just goes to show that Journey is as American as apple pie.

I just couldn't help wondering.... when Bedtime Stories ended with "Don't Stop Believin'"... was it the Steve Perry version, or the Arnel Pineda version?

Maybe they have two different prices.... $10,000.00 for the Perry version or $500.00 for the Arnel Pineda tribute version.

It's weird...i've never found Jim Carrey very funny (although a couple movies like The Truman Show and Bruce Almighty were such good scripts and ideas that they still worked), but I like him in more serious roles like The Majestic and Man On The Moon, although box office figures seem to indicate i'm in the vast minority there.

Your funny bone must be broken. I almost fell out of my seat laughing when I first saw 'Dumb And Dumber'. I like all of his stuff - except for the serious movies that you mentioned. I think he is just adequate as a regular actor... but he rules as a comedian. You probably don't like Will Ferrell either?

I didn't think 'Yes Man' was his best effort, but it was worth seeing. It was every bit as funny as Adam Sandler's latest flick.

He is only as good as his writers, he is no Robin Williams. When they were filming Liar Liar in Century City, I was walking by going to the mall and his bodyguard told this kid to wait and he would get an autograph in a couple hours. When I was going back that way, they were just wrapping up. The director went to bring kid over to Carey, who saw him coming and had his body guard cut him off and tell him to leave him alone, he doesn't do autographs. I was fucking shocked, but the more I've seen of him I'm not surprised any longer.

Carrey improvises his lines and has produced several of his own movies including Yes Man, Fun With Dick And Jane, and Bruce Almighty. His movies wouldn't be nearly as funny with someone else playing his role. He makes me laugh much more than Robin Williams does.
