Mini-show in March...

This was brought up by Dan, and I thought I'd throw this question out to you on the board... Alex (my project's vocalist) should be coming here (everything permiting) from Italy on March 9th so that we can finish up this album worth of demos, and just to hang out and jam. Alex asked me if I'd be able to line up a gig while he's here, but honestly...I haven't played a local club or bar gig in probably 3 years! I wouldn't really care to play a bar, but this got me to thinking after Dan brought it up.

Would any of you be interested in coming here to S.C. for a cook-out and a night of Alex and I jaming/taking requests for you? It'd probably be on that Friday the 13th, or Saturday the 14th. The only problem is that I probably wouldn't have room for anyone to stay. We do have a nice hotel 10 minutes from here though.

I don't know how feasible any of this is...I'm just putting this out there to see if/how many of you would be interested. You can just reply on here, or PM me if you're interested. Thanks,

Jim

Hey man, cool idea! Why don't we go there and do a show together, cause I already have a guaranteed audience in Chile. The only part I'm not sure about is why, or what I can do to entertain them? Give me some ideas, cause I can't even burp my ABC's...

That's cool Dan...My wife is gonna KILL me!   I'm very down with it, but it's really going to be a matter of Alex's schedule. I still haven't told him yet either, as I've been out all day. I know he's going to love the idea though, as he asked me to line up a gig.

If it does happen I can guarantee one thing....You'll eat good! I'm the chef of the house and take a lot of pride in my cooking. I make one mean beef brisket! :D We could do hamburgers and hotdogs too, and of course several sides. One thing you won't be at my house is hungry.

I'll try to keep you posted, as I know everyone will need some notice ahead of time! As I said before...we could try to just wing it off the cuff and take song requests, and I could also try to put several songs together that we could jam on. I'm always up for suggestions too. Just let me know!

Holy fuck, I hope you live in a rural area. If not, you need to get with the neighbors. While I'm sure I won't be able to attend, I'm going to suggest that the attendees help with the costs. This could take a Platinum Visa card to it's max.

Rick...I live out in the woods right outside of the capitol city of SC, on 7 acres of land. I do whatever the >&*%^ I wanna do! I'm not picturing too many people coming, and with people spending all the dough on travel/lodging...the least I can do is provide some kick-ass food!

Hey Jana...yes I did talk to the Mrs about it 1st. I'm friends with quite a few people on here, and I wouldn't feel too awkward with it, but she's never been on here and doesn't know anyone (except Dan and Elizabeth). As long as it's not too many people...it won't be any problem.

Thanks for the compliments! As far as the weather goes...I'm in South Carolina, so March is normally pretty warm here. It's an awesome place to kayak, and there are several places close to here that are awesome! As far as the lawn...as long as you don't have a chainsaw, and seem like the cereal killer (Fruit Loops kind) type, I'm sure that would be cool!

We do have a big yard, but only have three bedrooms. Our only spare room is filled with music and recording equipment. We'll also have Alex here with his wife, so it'll be a little crowded. Our house is pretty big, but rooms are few! I really do hope this works out though, and I'd love to meet several of you!
