Melodic Rock Hall of Fame

I think we can all agree that the current Rock and Roll Hall of Fame lacks any credibility - all politics and bias.
So, if Andrew started a Melodic Rock Hall of Fame, who do you think is worthy of induction?
My list includes:
Elvis, Roy Orbison, Bryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen, Journey, Pat Benatar, Bon Jovi (I'll forget the country album)

Hmm, this one is going to take lots of thought, taking into account success, influence, innovation, technique...
Off the top of my head; Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley (before he abandoned rock for smooth), Buddy Holly, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zepplin, Masters Apprentices, Thin Lizzy, AC-DC.
I need to go peruse the music collection, do a little mental comparison, think a little, and get back to you.
But great topic for discussion!

That does sound good Andrew............if nothing else they can see what the regular folks think, instead of a bunch of wanna be musicians that couldn't make it so they became critics.

I hate critics................

Alls I know is that my two favorite acts Alice Cooper and Journey are not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which is a travesty, and they ought to be in the first wave of inductees of any alternative. H.O.F.

I think we should have a MR Forum Poster HOF. The first entry to this HOF is clearly Rockin' Deano.

Elvis, Roy Orbison, and Bruce Springsteen probably don't belong in the "melodic rock" category. Great artists, obviously, but not melodic rock.

Kiss, first and foremost??? Obviously, you don't know much about Andrew and the term "melodic rock", in general. Certainly, Journey would be on his list and Springfield (of course

), but I think you'd be surprised to see a huge list of bands that many in the US have never even heard of on there as well.
I'd be interested in seeing who you would put on the HOF, Andrew.

But get that 2008 MR Awards online first.

Are we going to be hailing our own KPOTY again?
