I just feel that this is progressively getting worse, and what's next....An Arnel variety show where guests come on and do bad karaoke? Okay. Here's my take. The problem is there's been every video (great, good, average, and bad) of Arnel performing in the Philippines since the tour ended posted here. MR is a Journey board, a board that is a fan of Journey music, and sometimes -- well, okay, many times critical of the revolving players in the band and their personalities - yes, even criticial of Steve Perry. No one is immune. But first and foremost it's a board about the music and the originality, not an Arnel Pineda fansite. Posting all these covers and duets in the Philippines ad nauseum only invites criticism by many, and his fans cannot be upset by that, because, truthfully. some weren't that good, or many on here don't care about the tenth Open Arms duet or solo with canned music video from over there. Okay. I'm exaggerating.

On Arnel's site any news and clips are welcomed, as it should be. But here I think posting some clips of Arnel, such as the old Foolish Heart cover, which wasn't very good, isn't going to get the response the poster wants here for the most part, and shouldn't get their feelings hurt, or it would be better left on Arnel's site. The problem with posting anything and everything of Arnel doing covers and Journey songs as duets in the Phils, is when something really great is posted, even if a Journey song or even a cover, many on here are sick of the overkill.

I'm an Arnel fan. I happen to like this clip and I like Sharon and thought it was very well done. Of course, there were other videos posted here of duets with Arnel that were average. So what was the point of posting those here? There's another new video on Arnel's site with Arnel doing a duet with a Filipina singer who is playing guitar, but I doubt most of you will care, but I loved it. I go to Arnel's site for all that stuff, and have gotten used to the covers and Journey songs without Journey. It's the uniqueness of who they hired.

So no, Jim, you're not crazy, nor are the avid Arnel fans who love everything he does. I say there needs to be some moderation, which is where I am, right smack in the middle. Peace.
