This video is uploaded by Sony/BMG on Youtube. Should Walmart post videos of Clips from The official Revelation DVD also or do you think Youtube should be designated as an an amateur only site and keep big corporations off of it totally? Basically forbid marketing videos like this one? I know Rick had a thing with them where they let him keep "Higher Place" posted but they wanted to monitor the hits or something like that.

On the basis that 99% of the videos on youtube are in breach of copyright it has to be good if the major labels have adopted if you can't beat them join them philosophy.

If they wanted to monitor usage of a video you put up and maybe run a little advertising would you be cool with this?

Totally - if that meant that the stuff i like got re released or was made more readily available and the advertising was relevant to the video.

You've got a good memory brudda. That's exactly what it was, plus they wanted to have ads on my YT page. I kept it for a while, but it got the better of me. Fuck them.

There have been instances where a new video will look like it's from a fan (maybe a new PSP game or PS3 prduct).
All the initial comments will be great regarding the product. Come to find out the video is really hosted by Sony and the initial comments planted by them. Where do you draw the line on disclosure concerning who really posted the video?

What I'm saying is, is this the way to do cheap commercials. You're right should we even be concerned with it, even if its a casual deception for people not to know that the video is actually an infomercial. I guess it's no harm done.
