OT: George W. Bush Greatest Hits...Classic Material Here!

This shit simply can't be made up. It's almost as if I read some of this in print, I'd never believe it! This has to be the least articulate president, EVER. If there was one worse than this guy, god help us! While Obama makes everyone believe that "anything is possible" by a black man being elected president, I think W. gives not so bright people the hope that anything truly is possible if a dope like this can ascend to the highest office in the land. Don't get me wrong, I think W. would be a fun guy to have a beer with but this guy as president is still astonishing to me. Thank god there is only one more day of this comedy show!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KogebxJkHig Letterman's final "Great Moments in Presidential Speeches" from Friday night (This is CLASSIC)

On another note, comedians can't be happy with Obama coming into office because they're going to have to find some new material. Although every president manages to find something to nail them on!

I guarantee you there will be plenty of material. I also guarantee you that they won't be quite as mean-spirited about it, though.

Probably not for Obama. Too smooth and doesn't have the quirks others do. Comedians are already saying there's just not much to go on compared to Bill Clinton and George W. There was a wealth of material there.

But if it was Hillary Clinton, it would get mean-spirited.

Then those are comedians who aren't paying close enough attention. There is ALWAYS something, no matter who the 'target' is. His whole "change" thing alone is enough of a seed to start it. Not to mention, the guy isn't even in office yet. Let's relax and give him 5 minutes to make an ass of himself.

Many of us didn't ... not for governor and not for president

The guy has always been a case of hubris on the hoof and a complete buffoon ; few people (including Ann Richards) even took him seriously the first time he ran for Texas governor.

However, he did gut it through what is arguably the hardest job in the world during some truly trying times. He showed up and worked at it for 8 years, so he has earned my (very grudging) respect.

Actually, given how Bush's total vacation time now surpasses two years, it's more like 6.

I wished he would've took all 8 years as vacation as well as the rest of the politicans for that matter.

haha. i understand what you meant.
kinda frustrating right?
we filipinos have had a lion's share of lame, stupid, dirty politicians (you name it).
believe me, we can emphatize with you.

where can you find a first lady raping a whole country's wealth for 20 years in shoes and men, thrown out of office, exiled, and still
end up elected as a congresswoman?
...onli in da pilipins.

To put a nail in his own coffiin..he was quoted in People as saying his "most anxious" moment as President was throwing out the first pitch at a ball game....guess 9-11 was a walk in the park

That was probably the one right after 9-11. Whoop-de-doo. Sometimes people are inspired to do big things at the toughest moments. I remember some moments in my own life when I was strangely calm at times that I should have been nervous or anxious and other times that I should not have been anxious when I was. There's nothing out of the ordinary about that.

What a load of crap. The Predident doesn't get ANY true vacation time. They just move his office, basically. He still works, gets daily briefings, etc.
