You say that like it's a bad thing.

LMAO Funny commercial. I ordered mine 4 days ago and I'm getting impatient.

Since you mention it... I have question to those who pre-order books and DVDs/CDs.
And this is an honest question, no sarcasm intended.

I wanted to ask this when Revelation came out because a number of people talked about ordering it.

My question is... why? Other than things that are either not widely available or internation orders, etc., I don't get it.

As I said, no sarcasm intended here (for a change...lol!) I'm just trying to find the reasoning behind waiting for something one is impatient for rather than just going to a store on the street date to get it. :?:

I blame Harry Potter.

Sorry, I have no rational response for you, so a sarcastic giggling one will have to do.

No sarcasm taken. I can't find it. I found the Playlist series (with different artists) but no Steve Perry. Usually when he releases a CD, I can find ONE in stock but now- nothing. If I don't see that mine has been shipped by Friday, I may try another town about an hour from where I live. I've looked at a few diff. Walmarts, Target, different stores that carry CDs that I happen to be in at the time... Of the two malls in my end of town, only one of them has a record store. I'll probably have to try there next. WTF? I remember my malls used to have multiple record stores in them.

Actually, the Harry Potter example is valid, since pre-orders of the book(s) were delivered to your house on the same day they were available in stores...

Harry Potter was actually going to be my example for this. With the last two books, I went to the store the morning they came out, and got them. No pre-order necessary. That's why I don't get it. :?

Some people don't like to go to the store... ;)

Also, free shipping and no sales tax...

Probably, for some, it's the psychology of it all...being guaranteed a copy. :)

 Oh, I don't think most of us would go that far. Relief, I think for me, that I get to hold and listen to a SP cd/song that is not 10 yrs. old. It would truly be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
