How do you have two greatest hits or best of CDs off of only two solo albums?

I did buy it and love the pictures that came with it. The best $7.00 I ever spent. All of the songs I like are now on one CD and I don't have to burn a darn thing. Who knows, maybe Steve is testing the waters to see just how many fans he has before he comes out with something and how it will come out. Why print out a whole lot of CD's if not many people are going to buy it? He can find another way to get it to the fans who really want it.

I went to my Walmart -- they had all the other "Playlist" cds out,... no Steve. I imagine if I called around, I could find it. Might do that tomorrow. It's been raining tho, and So Cal in the rain brings out all the idiots who do not know how to drive.

The CD has remastered songs. I have all three solo ablums and this new one has the best clarity of all.
I feel the difference in the quality of the sound is worth the price of the new CD. Plus it is very nice to have all the songs on one CD.

Considering this is part of a series (like those '20th Century Masters' albums Universal released for every fucking band that was ever on their labels) I doubt Steve had any input into this release at all...he just happened to be one of dozens of artists they're releasing identically-themed compilations for before the CD format finally dies next year.

When you say you have Steve's solo work - do you mean the recent-ish re-masters? The sound on those was great, particularly on For the Love of Strange Medicine.

3. When You're In Love (For The First Time)
I think they should change the title from Best Of to something else more suitable as this cod-reggae disgrace doesn't belong anywhere near a greatest hits compilation.

Also on Amazon's mp3 store (a buck more) for those "Against The
Wal".

Actual CD also $7.99 but then there's shipping.

I live in a town that has a super Walmart. When I couldn't see the CD after I looked I ask someone who works there and they helped me find a copy. So if you have a regular Walmart maybe they don't carry it. You'll have to ask someone there. They should have a list of what they have in stock. Also check online at Walmart. They may have it. I know Amazon.com has it. You can check there too. I was lucky, by the sounds of it. But I do know a few others that did find it at Walmart. Maybe it's the super Walmarts that are the only ones that carry it.

I hate going to Walmart, around here that's where everyone's kids run wild and block the aisle!

It was on backorder (1-2 weeks) at Best Buy - I didn't want to wait that long so I ordered it through Amazon and got it within a few days.

Annie, do you know what the track list for ATW was? Do you have all of those songs?

Rick, I'm not positive, but I believe the 5 songs grouped together in SP's GH+5 Unreleased cd was from the scrapped ATW project:
When You're in Love (For the 1st Time)
Against the Wall
Forever Right or Wrong (Love's Like a River)
Summer of Luv
Melody
Don't know what other songs might have been in the can.

I think so too. I have those, but would love to know what else was on there.
Thanks for the reply.

I was under the assumption that Melody and It Won't Be You were from the FTLOSM sessions.

BEST???? You gotta be kidding me. This song is awful. When I heard it I was embarrassed for Perry. Ugh.
The rest of them though, pretty good songs. Definitely WON'T buy it. Already did when they came out the first time.

Personally, I never understood the affection for "She's Mine"...not a strong enough track to be included on one, much less two GH CDs.

She's Mine has some soul. Foolish Heart and Only For the Moment Girl, kinda dull. On the other hand, You Better Wait is an amazingly good track.
