OT:Ice Storms in the South/ Dixie Popcycle

Ice storms have struck the south! We live in the upper northeast region of Arkansas. I am adding pictures of my front yard and the road up and down my street. They are predicting more freezing rain, and snow tonight. Of course, to the amusement of my northern friends, every school is shut down.   My neighbors tree, wich we have been trying to get him to trim or cut down has hit our house twice today, hopefully no severe damage will occur. Anyone else out there getting slammed by this storm front? :(

This is to the right of my house,

This is the road to our left,

My mom lives in the country and had to go to my sisters, right now pine trees are hanging over her house and could snap any minute! Many are without power, and worse conditions are coming tonight.

Oh by the way Deano, we wear shoes too.

We had two tractor trailers jacknife on 63 near Bay last night. Shut down 63 both ways. I know for my northen friends it is no big deal, but we are not used to this crap either. Last serious ice storm was in 2000.

Dig up that pile of bones Henry my dick stopped working a century ago Fonda, and make a movie called "On Frozen pond." And have his ass fall into the lake and freeze to death.

That be me, and the pink is fucking ICE. Right now it's pouring ICE out of the sky as far as the eye can see. Better not lose my power again.

And I'm north of you and it is just getting here now!!

Sugar, I am sure you are getting worse, and have seen worse. I never stated nor implied that what we are getting is worse than anything up north. But for here this is not and I repeat, not common place. We neither have the equipment or the manpower to deal with it. The last storm around 2000, 8 years ago.

We have people with no heat, no power, and may be out for quite a while. It will move north, it already is on its way. I wish it were snow, it is mainly ice. We are expected to get more freezing rain tonight. That makes two days of this mess. You guys can have all of it back if you want!
