Thanks man...there will NEVER be another Steve Perry. I feel like a jealous ex-girlfriend here (yup, I'm going full loon tonight!), but I want that fucker to sing again...with or without Journey. Just do SOMETHING! I'm gonna quit now before I start sounding too gay here. :lol:

Even with the raspiness ... his voice is so mesmerizing to listen to. SP set the standard so high, how can any other Journey singer measure up?

No problem folks. More to come here and there. I try different songs and post up the ones that get the best mix of Perry upfront. Some songs just do nto work because there will be too much other shit in the center channel so I really cant take requests. Over time, I am sure I will have tried this on most every Journey/Perry song and post the ones that work the best.

I agree...I always listen to stuff with those big earmuff type headphones plugged into my computer - these stripped down Perry vocals are the best. Keep 'em comin'!

Yes he did. I find it easy to get up there and hit a note like that because it is one vowel sound. He can probably do that today. If he has lost range issues it is most common that he just has a gap that bridges his chest voice with his head voice and depending on where that gap is........
