Ooh...Big surprise.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Court documents show Barry Bonds tested positive for three types of steroids, and his personal trainer once told his business manager in the San Francisco Giants' clubhouse how he injected the slugger with performance-enhancing drugs "all over the place."...

I totally agree. Use was widespread, amnesty was given to most, that was then, test them all more frequently now if that is what MLB wants, but lets move on now.

And what a waste of tax payer dollars it is to prosecute Bonds after basically letting everyone else off with a stern talking to and a slap on the wrist. And what a waste of time and effort for the senate to get involved in this whole juicing thing. Nothing better to work on? Like the economy, war, education, environment, etc. Just ridiculous.

The government being involved is dumb. You won't get an argument from me on that one. However, baseball still needs to clean house and get stuff like this out in the open.

Isn't Bonds charged with perjury and obstruction of justice? Who else was charged with that and got off with a slap on the wrist?
Roids, or not, the guy lied to a grand jury. That's a big problem.

And NFL players like Shaun Merriman are caught, suspended and continue to play without any scorn from the public. It really comes down to the who cares file. The only issue w/Bonds is that he lied to federal investigators, which is a no no. That's what will ultimately sink Clemens. But still, like I said, who cares.

I realize that perjury can be a serious thing. But we're not talking about a case involving murder, large scale fraud, smuggling, etc. I uderstand many may disagree with me, but I don't want tax dollars wasted over something like this. Just my opnion. The users have been identified and so have the suppliers. As far as Bond's goes, his MLB carreer is over. I think the fact that no team looking for a playoff push picked him up last season pretty much shows he is black balled from MLB. And his records and stats will now always be a matter of debate whether they put an asterisk next to them or not.

Again this is all MO
