OT-Eddie Murphy takes it in the shorts for child support

Postby Angiekay » Wed Feb 11, 2009 4:12 pm

Ok, I'm all for supporting a child if it's yours, but $50,000 a MONTH!? Are you fucking kidding me?! Yeah, the kid will see ALLL that!

Eddie Murphy has been ordered to pay his ex-girlfriend Melanie Brown more than $50,000 a month in child support until their 22-month-old daughter Angel Iris reaches the age of 18. Britain's News of the World reports that Murphy has also agreed to finally meet the daughter whose relation to him he questioned until a paternity test proved he was the father.

A source told the paper, "Mel is delighted that the case is over as she just wanted what was right for the girl."
The former couple have been battling in Los Angeles court for 15 months and have signed non-disclosure agreements that prevents them from discussing the settlement in public.

They were supposed to get married, she had met his other children and was all excited. Then Murphy went all psycho on her.

What should Paul McCartney's kid get?

$50k a month to raise a celebrity's kid isn't asking too much. Eddie makes $20-million per movie at least, and I'm sure that part of the deal is that the kid won't be bugging him on the movie set.

Paul McCartney reportedly makes divorce settlement with Heather Mills

Paul McCartney has reportedly offered estranged wife Heather Mills a divorce settlement amounting to $235 million. Despite previous insider reports stating that McCartney is eager to argue the divorce before the courts, his children, including fashion designer Stella McCartney, have reportedly convinced him for the sake of his health to make a settlement and walk away.

The alleged $235 million deal that Macca has cut with Mills includes:
- A public lump payout of $19.6 million, which Mills will donate to charity.
- $3.9 million a year for care and child support of the couple's three year-old daughter Beatrice. - $5.8 million for their British homes.
- A $15.6 million house fund to purchase homes in the U.S. and Europe.
- And $3.9 million for "staff fees and general expenses" for the next 15 years.

A source close to McCartney told Britain's News Of The World newspaper that, "Stella told Paul: 'If this goes on it could kill you. Being happy is more important than money.'" The source went on to add that, "It's a done deal and Paul is relieved."

Last summer, Macca, accompanied by daughter Mary, was rushed to a local London doctor after reportedly suffering chest pains. Representatives from the McCartney camp downplayed the incident, claiming that there was nothing more to the visit other than him scheduling an after-hours physical.

Macca and Mills announced their separation in a joint statement on May 17th. Macca officially filed for divorce on July 28th.

Looks like Paul McCartney's kid is getting $325,000.00 per month.

But do these prices include lawyer/attorney fees as well? Most times the settlement figure reported doesn't exclude those fees yet. And a good lawyer/attorney today will get 45% of what the settlement figure is.

I guess we'll be seeing a new Eddie Murphy movie every six months or so for the next 16 years.

That judge should be disbarred. What a ridiculous judgement.
