Hey everyone,

Just want to post real quick to say thanks to all of you for hanging out, being cool, and being interested in my music and sharing our love for Journey here over the past 7 years I've been a part of this forum.

Unfortunately for me, things seemed to change when my name got outed as JSS' replacement a couple of summers ago. At that point I became not a forum member but a topic of conversation, and for the most part here it wasn't real pleasant. I had hoped that people I considered friends would see me through and for the most part that was true - some I thought were friends didn't survive that time period, and I probably should have realized then I wouldn't be able to get back into the swing of things as just a forum member anymore. I tried to stick it out mostly out of pride - as in "they can't run me off" - but I probably should have backed out long ago.

Since then I've tried to lay low and just post updates about Frontiers shows or some writing demos etc, but then everytime I'd try to get back into "conversation mode" something else would come up about me and my Journey situation, making it real difficult to stay "normal." The funny thing is, no one here knows me personally - I've met a few people and made friends here, but certainly not in any context of my deep personal life. It's disturbing when people presume things about you or make judgements about you without knowing anything about you. It's been a real lesson that hasn't been fun, but certainly been necessary.

Anyway, I've never been a fan of "grand exits" here or anywhere else. But I thought it necessary anyways to let people know that I have really enjoyed being a part of this forum when it wasn't so contraversial. But two years later, it appears I still can't be a member of the "general public" so I wanted to share for those with any interest where they can continue to stay in touch w/me and the like.

My main website for my upcoming CD and other solo releases is the ReverbNation site which is linked in my sig. The Frontiers site and information is always at www.journeytributeband.com, and videos, songs, etc are usually released on our reverbnation.com/journeymusiclive site.

Lastly, let me one declaration that most of you probably know anyway - Real life is always MUCH more fun than any computer forum. As always, in the future I hope to meet many more of you on the road and hope everyone has great success in family, love, and fortune.

I hate to see you go man but I completely understand your feelings. I'll assure you that you'll see me at shows,on MySpace and Facebook. Also,I've sent that committee a message about the Wythe..... festival in June.

Aw, Jeremey this sucks. However, I can't say I blame you.

Its really too bad that some people can't just be in on the fun and be treated like regular members and post normally if they have or have had some kind of connection to Journey. I'm not naming names because I don't wish to drag people into it, but I think we all get what I mean. I see it all the time around here, and I find it unnecessary. They almost become a third party and people post about you as if you're not here and can't see it all, or they want and expect you to pop in and answer their questions, confirm or deny the stories they're heard, etc.. I can only imagine what the PMs to you and a few others must look like. I'm no angel all the time around here, but I can honestly say I've never done that to any of our somewhat spotlit guests and I know a lot of us can say the same.

Would be nice if you hung around, Jeremey, but as I said, I can't blame you. See you Saturday.

Isn't this the truth about 99.9% of all online 'friends'. Never understood why people get so clingy & think they're close out here. That whole sense of 'family', while I don't deny it exists on some level, is really all vicarious garbage. Only those who have spent significant/extended real time together can claim true friendship. Most people always forget to use 'virtual' when dealing with this reality. Real life is not spent on a computer.

I have heard your name in blogs but had no idea who they were talking about, so I guess of all the folks here, I can truely say I would have treated you no differently. I am truely sorry you feel you cannot be a part of it all here. God bless you in your life and your future. I have always said the bands situation is not mine to pick appart, in my oppinion. I hate to hear this also, Jeremey. You're one of the few people who I really look forward to reading what you post.
I don't think I've ever done anything to offend you, but if I did, I apologize.
I've let it be know many times that I think that you were the best choice for Journey and I still feel that way.
I'll keep checking out your music, for sure.

Really hope you'll change your mind, but I understand. There are really cool people here and this is mostly a great place, but there are several people who just have to be negative about everything.

Anyway, please hang around, but if you decide you can't, I wish you nothing but continued success in your life and music. With your talent, you deserve to be a huge success.

hey jeremey, i don't know you at all; just read some of your post and know you are doing the journey gigs around the country. this is cool that you're taking a header and leaving the forum cause of a couple of reasons. you know someone told me this awhile ago and it's true if you're going to leave then just leave no need to appear as 'you guys done me wrong and so i'm leaving'. just leave. take care and good luck. i'm sure you'll showup time and again. that's cool too. hey just be yourself and this other stuff; makes no matter. i enjoy your visits.
