I didn't watch this show at all for 3 seasons 2004, 2005 and 2006. I was working / commuting too much.

When I finally got some time I rented the dvds and caught up with them. Seemed pretty interesting although I couldn't fathom how Hugo never lost weight.

Anyway, last season was ok and now its completely weird with the constant time flashes.

I quit watching.

Anyone still watching this season and your thoughts?

It jumped the shark after the first season. I remember two years ago the writers wanted to end it but didn't know how, and it's only got more convoluted. I think they are in mortal fear of having to pull a 'Bobby in the shower" ending.

People say the same thing about Heroes. And I'm starting to agree.

It got better when the scottish actor was brought in. Can't remember his name but he was always saying "Brotha".

I liked the 108 minute computer clock trick.

I have no idea how they'll end it but I'll just wait 'til its all out on dvd and do a marathon for this season. I gave it a try but unless Evangeline Lilly was on screen I was bored.

That show is still on? I watched a little the first season and thats it. I haven't watched hardly any TV for a few years now. If theres something interesting to learn about on channels like National Geographic or Discovery, maybe PBS... but thats even rare for me anymore. Occassionally, I'll catch a little news, the weather, watch a movie on TCM or sometimes a football game here and there but thats about it. TV programming stinks now for the most part. I'd rather watch shows like Andy Griffith on DVD. So whenever someone comes to my house they can have free reign with the remote.

Season two was decent, but it didn't have nearly the impact as season one. I am all for prolonging a series, a band, a.. well... everything, so long as the creative direction remains refreshing and exciting. But Heroes, particularly, took a standout character like Sylar and made him boring. I definitely agree with the idea that he should have stayed dead in season one.

I hear you. I'm NatGeo, History, Discovery, BBC America and PBS 95% of the time and The Food Network the other 5%.

The only stuff I catch regularly is The Office, Chuck and maybe Charlie Rose depending on who's on.

Chuck is campy but fun. I heard Scott Bakula of Quantum Leap fame will be on as Chuck's dad. They did a sendup of Diehard on one episode.

The Office still has Dwight Schrute. 'Nuff said.

I really enjoy Chuck. It's repetition is starting to annoy me, but it blends the Office with Alias.

This show is a complete waste of time....The writers seem to be making it up as they go along. I couldn't even watch 2 episodes. Same with 24. I don't get it. I enjoyed the FIRST season of Heroes, then they completely lost me in s2.

I'll stick to my Seinfeld DVDs, and my Family guy DVDs.....kthx.

On the first Survivor, that dude Richard Hatch went from tubby to lean in a month and a half I think. Fish and rice is all they ate.

I know its only a tv show but come on, lost on island with limited food supplies and the big guy doesn't lose a pound?

He looks bigger this season.

I'ts not surprising that Hurley can't lose weight on the island. They found the bunker full of food & beer. Then he was home for 3 years sitting around doing nothing in the mental institution.

I have to admit I'm still hooked on the show. I don't know what the hell is going on half the time, but it's always full of suprises.

The hottie that was buried alive (bit by spider) should've been kept on. Ana Louisa was cool and Hurley's chick. Hey what a surprise, I only miss the hot women.

The thing is, there were so many shows I have watched that were cancelled, I had no closure and it drove me nuts!! Whether I like it or not, at least I can maybe see this one through and get the closure I need with a series finale

LOL, Now that you mention it, I did notice a pattern of all the hot women getting killed off. Although the red-head doesn't look like she's going to last much longer either.

Cause the Dharma initive made those food drops, and they found a shit ton of food in the "hatch", a good bit of which they made a subplot of Hurly hording.

I think ya'll are on crack. LOST , along with BATTLESTAR GALACTICA are the two best dramas on TV right now. This season of LOST in particular has been riveting as all hell.

Ah well- some say "potato"...

One of the late night talk show hosts made a funny comment about LOST. Something to the effect of:

"Do we have any LOST fans in the audience? Anyone actually know what the hell is going on?"

It's definitely nearing the end. Still like it better than I'm liking 24 the last three seasons (especially season six - ugh) but yeah ... hopefully they'll start explaining stuff.

'Lost' was getting rather convoluted by last year and viewers were starting to tire of having more questions than answers. The producers responded by setting a finite amount of shows to the series and broke the seasons into two parts, so the writers have a set timeframe for concluding the series and the viewers know it won't drag on forever! I was getting to the point where I didn't care if I watched it, but now that it's in the final stretch, the pace has improved immensely and it has been a great season.

"time travel" explains everything on what happens and will happen on that show.
cheezy stuff but im still waiting where they connect the end to the first episode.
then you can go on a loop and go through the whole story again from the beginning.

Also, this season has answered a lot of questions, mostly due to the time travel! We saw what happened to Rousseau's crew and learned that Widmore used to live on the island. We learned how Dharma found the island. We learned why Locke was in a coffin at the end of last season. We also learned that the island is time skipping because Christian/Jacob told Locke to move it, not Ben.

I'm satisfied so far. They're definitely wrapping up. They might have been making it up as they went along for the first couple of seasons, but since S3 I think they've known what they're doing.

I agree. I think they are wrapping it up and explaining things much better now. I really think the people who would complain now are those who are not fans of Sci-fi, and that is the direction the show is going now.

Love Lost and this season is probably the best. The time travel element is really cool.
