From what I have heard, Robert and his wife have moved to Richmond VA to be closer to some of his former Vinnie Vincent band members and they have started a new band. They've been recording a new record in Richmond. I don't know the name of the new band though. Just keep a lookout for an update on his website and MySpace page as he get's further along with his new project.

Although he didn't tour with VV, or film any of the videos, I quite enjoyed the album he was on. Great stuff.

So who was in the video from that first VVI album?

That would be one very glammed out Mark Slaughter in the video.

"Invasion" off the debut LP remains one of the most hysterically unintentionally hilarious hair metal songs ever recorded. I've always wondered if the guys recorded this with a straight face - and if so, how?

Geez, I gotta go back and listen to that track again. If memory serves, that was one of the more "sane" cuts on the album. Now, if you're talking about "Shoot U Full Of Love" "Twisted" or "I Wanna Be Your Victim", then I'm in total agreement.

I remember reading an interview in Kerrang! way back in the day when the album was being released, and Vinnie cackling with laughter in it when he talked about Fleischman asking him if he was serious about the lyrics, because they were so over the top!

But Mark wasn't in until the 2nd album.

I guess it's sorta like when Kee Marcello replaced John Norum in Europe...he appeared in all the vids and died his hair black to look more like John...

Well, sorta. Mark was in from the first tour, which was opening for Alice Cooper on the Constrictor outing, if memory serves. I believe Fleischman left right after the album's release.
