i honestly knew about the movie only when it got a lot of good reviews and international awards.
then i got interested in watching it.
i must say, i got blown away by the musical scoring and the sound mixing.
i am totally in agreement of its numerous awards that its been bagging.
the peolple who made it deserve the kudos.

my personal favorite was the part when the kid dove into the shit pile.
i was laughing profusely sayin, "no ones gonna be able to stop that kid from having his autograph!"

funny stuff.

its actually being protested by some groups from that country, saying that its a racist term.

Heard nothing but good reviews. Guess it's a feel-good movie. So this kid from the slums went on Who Wants to be a Millionnaire? and won a million $'s? And there is such a game show in India?

yup, he won 20M rupees (dunno how much its worth in US$).
apparently he knew all the answers to the questions that where, strangely enough, part of his life when he was growing up.

i dont know if they had this show in india.

My wife watched it last night. She loved it. And she's usually not into foreign films.

So that's what it's about!! I had in my mind a Slumlord who becomes a millionaire off of his over-priced,
under-maintained, low-income properties!!
