Right now I'm working on Steve Perry's album. It's not even a question anymore; everybody comes here. I'll go out on the road and come back, and there will be sessions waiting to happen, and I try to turn them around in a timely manner."

Oh, this most certainly was discussed around here. Wasn't this statement rather quickly and unceramoniously retracted/modified shortly after it appeared? It didn't take long for the poo to hit the fan...

Dan Wilson blogged about all the people he worked with last year and he mentioned that he worked on songs with Perry. Then like 10 days later just Perry disappeared from that list.

I don't get it. I understand being a private person, but this business requires publicity to sell your work and all of this is good publicity. Why would he be writing if he doesn't want people to know. A true enigma.
