I have several personal experiences.
1) Day my dad died. I was working a cruise ship, and got the call from my brother that our dad had passed. I went into the middle of the ship where there was a bar. It was mid-day, the place was empty, so I could have a beer and cry. I was with my (then) husband, bawling my eyes out... and my beer can did a 360. Not a big circle, but a tight in the spot 360. I said "Hi daddy... ", and it stopped.
2) More recently. I was up in Seattle visiting my son. He does theatrical production, and was working as the stage manager for a show that was to be produced. We were at the rehearsal hall, and upon entering, Brian mentioned to me that the place was haunted. I said I knew... I could feel it, upstairs. Nothing much else happened, until I left to use the ladies room. The ladies room had motion detection lights, so if you entered the lights went on, which they did. (meaning, the lights were off previously... hence... no one should have been in there). Straight ahead of me was the handicapped stall, which I immediately took as being used (but with no lights?), so I went down a few to the left. While I was... busy... I heard a big "SIGH", and some movement. I immediately connected that to the occupant of the handicapped stall.
Except, no one was in the handicapped stall. I was solo. I found out after that the entity hangs around in there.
3) Downstairs in the basement of the building where my last job was at, I was mid discussion with one of owners. I glanced down for a millisecond and I heard a SLAP, right between Terryl and myself. I snapped my head back to Terryl, whose eyes were as big as mine. She heard it as well. No one else around. The building has a ghost, but reportedly only upstairs on the 3rd floor. Looks like there might be another.
4) About 4 months ago, my roommate (a vivacious Romanian some of you know and love) were talking in our kitchen. To my left, her right, was the window over the sink. We both saw, at the same time, a white fog-like man-sized shape walk past the window. I said... "I think I just saw a ghost!". Laura said "Oh thank God, I saw it too!". During the same time period, there was a lot of noise going on around 2:30 in the morning, as if someone was opening all the drawers and slamming them shut. I thought it had been a noisy neighbor, or my crazy Euro roomie redecorating at 2:30 AM. Nope. Laura was a bit spooked, so I said, "You aren't allowed in here anymore". No more problems.
5) Lastly, not so much ghostie, but empath stuff. I was visiting a friend of mine out in Calabasas. Upon walking up to her house, I got the most horrid sensation of danger and urged her to hurry up and get us inside. I said there's something wrong upstairs.
She said that just last week, the drug dealers that had lived there had moved out (or arrested she wasn't sure which). I had zero knowledge of these guys at all. Trust your gut.
