A good indicator will be if they can fill the stadium at Raley field in May..... playing by themselves. I mean after all, they do gotz the magic back, ya know. They may not need anyone to tour with them anymore.

Yeah....because Cheap Trick and Heart are such monster crowd attractions. Cheap Trick got the fortune of playing in front of a sellout crowd at the NYS Fair last year as an opener for Journey. 2 years before they played for free at the Cole Muffler stand outside.

Speaking of this- was there bad touring vibes between Styx and Journey? That seemed like a natural tour to happen, but I've not read that either had a great time. I haven't read the contrary, either, but just wondering.

What surprised me was that Journey played that show in NY, in fornt of a big crowd, yet in L.A., a filipino haven they only did two shows at the Greek, 5,800 seating capacity. There are about a dozen venues in L.A.which hold 16k and up, so why play the Greek?
