Thanks Rick - thought I had the remastered version as well as the original, but seems not. That track doesn't sound like a Street Talk demo though. Smoother vocal and much rockier.

Pre Journey? Wow, to my ears it sounds less dated than some of his early Journey stuff.

Not really. I think he'd have had decent success on any musical path.
You can't deny that voice.

While I obviously agree, who else besides our best friend HH would have taken him off of a turkey farm?

With that said, I seriously doubt that he would have relegated himself to stay on a turkey farm forever. With his love of music, he would have gravitated back into the fray. I think, anyway.

Good points Rick. I'm sure he would have left the farm at some point. As much BS that comes with Herbert, he really did work his ASS off to get Journey out there. I'm sure if he was Perry's solo manager, he still would have been a household name without Journey. Who knows?

I really like this song, and it's the first time I've heard it. So how many songs exist from the Alien Project? I would assume that they had enough songs together for the album deal they were after? I'd LOVE to hear more. And I agree that Journey has many songs that sound more dated than this stuff! I'd definitely buy this album if it existed.

Actually... a lot of the AP sound maifested in early Journey songs... Evolution in particular.
"When You're Alone It Ain't Easy" might as well have been an AP song. 8)

Who were the main writers in Alien Project? Did anyone else from that band have a successful career?

Also on the Demo along with 2 more songs...

Really one more song as its common knowledge that
If You Need Me Call Me was on the Demo.

So put all your heads together & see if you can name that tune...

OK I found it as public knowledge so I'll give it up...

"Harmony"

Haunting Song!!!

I wish there was a good sounding version of "Holding on" if that is what it''s called. Thats what lyrics say anyway. Terrible recording.. Thanks for the link shadowsong. Good souding version. Sounds like it is in stereo. IS it or do you have a version that is on par or better ? Awesome tune.
