I'm getting quite impatient. The internet and people have been letting me the fuck down recently. I ordered "the Prophecy" with Christopher Walken off eBay over a week ago and have yet to receive it.

I agree about the slowness of uploads from our Japanese friends. Being a country of cutting edge technology, one might think it's no problem for them to send a remote control ant holding a camcorder and be able to capture the concert.

The Japanese have a policy of not only taking your camera but also giving you a stiff fine on top of it. Hence why you don't see a lot of videos coming out of the venues. Also, two of the venues are quite small, one being 2,400 people. Might be a little difficult to do a lot of filming with out being noticed. I'm sure something got filmed but don't expect a lot.
The concert in Manila should be a different story. The big question there is will they bother filming a DVD if the venue is only half full. Only around 10 thousand seats have been sold out of 30,000. Unless there is a massive serge in sales in the next week, might be a let down for the hometown guy.
I don't think it's a money issue either as Rihanna and Chris Brown had an audience of 70,000 for their show. People there are just not that into Journey, know matter how much the band and their promoters try to force it on them.
If the show sells out, Chances are it will be because they gave the tickets away at the last second just to save face and after all the Hoopla about local boy done good.

They could give the tickets away at the end, just to have a fake crowd if there is filming going on that night, but I can't imagine the money that would be lost. I really think this will be the only show they perform there. It really has never been a Market for AOR type artists and besides, Azoff isn't in the business for charity.
Who knows though, maybe they'll all show up at the gate on the day of the show. It is a payday weekend.

I'm rooting for a sellout. Not for the band's sake but solely for Pineda.

I, too, saw that ticket sales are slow. Most expect, as you said, that the last minute sales will be strong because of pay day. I'm all for giving away tickets to fill the place. Having a half empty venue is really pointless on a few levels...the most important being that it allows you to play for and win over new fans. And yeah, it would be pretty weird to not have a capacity crowd in a DVD. Perhaps they'll photoshop you, Deano and Andrew into the crowd.

Yup, they can give out the tickets. Journey in Manila is heavily promoted by so many establishments like Coors beer. Mossimo shirts and Arnel's network ABS-CBN, the biggest in the Philippines.
Filipinos in my researched do generally buy the tickets during concert date. They are not into online and advance reservations. Come March 14, I believe that all roads in Manila will lead into the concert site. They tend not to disappoint any foreign act in the land. I am keeping my fingers crossed for Arnel, he needs this in his own turf.

I know this particular concert must be so important to Arnel, so I hope the Filipinos truly come out and support him in concert there as lead singer of Journey.

Journey are up against considerable competition in cutting a slice of the March market pie. Other concerts are scheduled throughout the rest of the month...Natalie Cole's, Delirious', John Legend's, Craig David's, etc.
